Hi all WE have 2 NVR here one is Wisenet and one is Quantum Vista The site team here currently have to use 2 different apps which is not issue (but if anyone has 1 app that can do both it be great!) Our main question is, site team wants to view cameras from home so when they not on network. LGFL have said to use cisco anyconnect which i have done but once connected, the cursor just spins and unable to view cameras! Any ideas ? or has anyone got similar setup at home?

Hi, we have Smoothwall in place that is working as transparency proxy server. The school wants to activate Smoothwall blocking certain word searching results for students, as it used to supposedly work, some time ago. We created an HTTPS inspection policy to Decrypt and Inspect for everyone, for Google Search and Web Search, as it wasn't in place. I've created a Web filter policy - Search suggestions category to activate a blocking list for search results. I applied the above settings to test users, but they worked only if the proxy was set as a non-transparency proxy (so when the proxy server was typed in in the proxy settings). I've created GPO with a user setting to apply proxy settings for users and assigned it to test users, however, the settings haven't been applied by the system (possible other higher priority GPO preventing applying the settings). This used to work fine before certificate had expired. Seems to be something with proxy I feel but unable to get to right area. Any pointers please? as currently students can search for guns etc

Hi all Just after second opinion. We have datastore with 4tb storage and is currently running at under 10gb! Reason for this is there is numerous servers done Veeam backup but has not deleted the temp VMs. For example Sims server has 3 snapshots by Veeam. I can see the server is using HD000002 than the. This snapshot issue is for all servers that use that data store. Question I have is, can I just delete all snapshots or do I need to consolidate? Seems like only sims server is saying I need to consolidate other servers don’t have that option. Like we have a file server that’s using 000003.vmdk file – as 3 snapshots, if just delete all snapshots will it go and use the original hard drive or do I need to consolidate/merge for it to work? Main issue I have is lack of space and I believe this is important! I have started one server to do a delete all snapshot as there was 7 snapshots. Started at 7 and at 10am its on 2% still.

Hi all I am not the best with Mac (i am sure many would say same in IT sadly) I have user at school who when he logs in wants chrome installed for his profile. He also has no icons in the bottom banner or ribbon whatever its called, just has finder. When another user logs in, they can see chrome, and the banner with loads of apps. I have access to the mac server and had look at profile manager but cant find anything obvious. Is there something i need to do like gp update we have for windows? Thanks

Staff dont wish to show first name to students. Might need to look at change sync from sims to active directory

Our user sync is done via LGFL. Maybe need to speak with them in that case see if the can make the change

Hi all Staff wants to remove first name visible to all students. This is synced from sims via Wonde. They have informed this is not something Wonde can do and its a google classroom configuration? is this correct if so how have you guys done this if you have? Is there a setting in Goole classroom to hide first name ? Thanks

Hi all I am in bit of pickle at school i support. See below issues from a staff member • Pupils have been added to new classes but not removed from their previous class (there are duplicates,in most cases the duplication creates a profile with a blank avatar). It might be the case that pupils be able to access their new class but I cannot be sure-one way to troubleshoot may be to contact a pupil to she what he or she can see on their end. • Teachers have not been updated to their new classes so would only be able to teach the lessons if we shared access codes (would not work unless pupils are in teh correct class though) The changes are done in sims and then via wonde uploaded to Google classroom. Any pointers please?

Hi all we are in process of moving user accounts to one drive and currently in GPO the users outlook folders is stored within documents folder. I dont want to sync outlook to google as some staff have like 20gb PST/OST files. What is best way to do this without users experiencing any changes so once the files are moved they open outlook without any impact (if possible) I have attached screenshot of the GPO for ideas. There is lot the SLT can do but always waste time on useless resources and time. SLT here usually decide everything, they order tablets, laptops, desktops and MFP without even consulting IT. I only joined in feb as contractor, but from what i have heard is SLT have in past purchased 35 MFP printers without even telling IT, they've ordered tablets same and then IT goes it wont work on network for whatever reasons not sure. Trust me the head has LOT to do, but we feel as there is a staff restructure going on they want to view these screenshots of users.....but just assumption, as the consultation starts in 2 weeks time and we been told to get this done and working by end of next week...

Hi all Headteacher has asked for impero software logs to go to him so he can check what searches staff are doing. for example keywords like bomb, kill etc There be screenshot of what that user is in and sent for head to view. Having look and he probably may get views sims, see what tabs staff are surfing like bbc etc and all this we think can go against the staff. The main thing is head is not keen on notifying staff about this too. Is this legit lol? Can they do that if not how can we approach them to say not possible?

So I have unplugged all cables from that switch and just left one plugged in that goes to the distribution switch at port 6. Hi all In next few months we are looking to migrate all home users to one drive and shares to sharepoint. I have one question. We have not yet created year 7 accounts and was wondering if we can bypass migration and create straight to one drive so they dont have any home drive in school (saves one year group migration too). Has anyone done this process? i am unable to find anything online. Can find loads of migration related articles but not creating from scratch to one drive. We have the Office 365 A1 license Ideally we want student to log in and have the one drive as mapped home drive and documents pointing to one drive. So we can decommission the file servers Thanks

Hi all Looking to move our shared drives to cloud. We at present have Office 365 A1 Looking to move to the storage cloud rather than one drive. Do we need to upgrade the above license to A2/A3 or is there another route? Also has anyone else use storage or one drive and can advice which is better? Want to move all home drives first then the shared drives later Thanks

Hi all Not sure if this is right forum for this issue. But our spice work helpdesk all of sudden is receiving multiple emails when a user logs ticket. For one ticket email there has been 100s of open ticket as duplicate and everytime i refresh its still opening same ticket. Seems like its om loop to keep creating same ticket. Anyone know whats causing this or where i can look. We using office 365 for emails and as far as i am aware no rules has been setup recently that can cause this. Thanks in advance

Its becoming extra work and i cant see anywhere where i can check to see why its going there. I have not made any changes recently so its bugging me. any ideas where i can check? thanks

I have not dealt with this before and first time for me! Dont have access to management console too so trying to find ways to create admin account for myself at same time.
