Hi Initially all our chromebooks had manual wifi, now in gsuite i have added in our new wifi ssid for chromebooks to connect to. Issue i have is by default chromebooks are connecting to the old ssid - can i force this so it does the other one? Secondly if i turn of the old ssid its not autoconnecting to the new wifi too. If have both wifi on and it connected to old wifi, if i manually try join the new ssid wifi it connects ok without password prompt so it does have settings just not applying Any ideas? thanks

thanks the registery tweak worked I agree not big fan of LTSC but this is all legacy and not had chance to create new images. Most likely move towards Windows 11

we need to login to each students account so we can delete email - thats how its done in past hence did same now - but if gam works then we can just disable/suspend hopefully Also any GAM users here as getting below error Hi First time i installed GAm To manage google admin but i am getting below email C:\GAM>gam user [email protected] delete messages query rfc822msgid: doit The system cannot find the file specified. Where am i going wrong?

Thanks i will be giving GAM a go or else tomorrow during teachers strike it be manual work for now and SLT to sort this out interally to avoid this again

Hi all A teacher has sent confidential email to a year group(around 360 students) We have changed password for all students at present so they cant view the email. Issue is we now have to manually log on to all the emails and delete that email one by one then give account back Wondered if there is a quicker way to do this than manual intervention like this? I joined here 3 months ago and this is 2nd time this has occured!

Hi all we have some users that have email address domain as the trust domain than school domain. I can change the domain to reflect school in gsuite. But my query is would this break something if i was to change from trust domain to School domain? The users are a director and data manager so dont want to take any risks before hand thanks

The reason why we restorting to thick image is because at present eveytime machine is restarted it installs all softwares again and takes 5mins plus to get to log on screen as its stuck on installing softwares.

Hi all we have loads of GPO's that install softwares i think around 15 or so and quite few are duplicates. I have created new image with all or most softwares installed now. But noticed as it applies GPO its trying to install those softwares Can i disable those software install GPO's or would that have issues on the ones with older images? I dont want, if i disable those softwares GPO to stop working or them to try uninstall

Hi all We are having new wifi installed over summer holidays, it will have new SSID and obv password. We have 600 plus chromebooks. Whats best way to get these on the new wifi, is it one by one? Or is their a quicker way? We will be using cisco meraki for the wifi network thanks

Found the setup, its a powershell script thats run via task schedule service, which runs ok but doesnt create accounts! Powershell doesnt show errors when we manually run, and no logs anywhere. Any ideas?

Our epson settings is set to automatic for the tray settings but it just dont want to move on to next tray. Our support provider are useless, they been sitting on this for past 2 months and no news and we cant go to epson for support apparantly!

Hi At present we are having issues with papercut side of things. We have Epson MFPs When user does multiple prints, if a tray is empty it dont go to seocnd tray where A4 is full . So when releaseing jobs the job is canceling so user has to reprint. With our previous setup - Ricoh and Equitrac - users were had print and save option so they can carry on printing elsewhere. Does papercut have something similar?

Hi all Not the best with Powershell but at [preent we are gopingt o each machine one by one and running wmic bios get serialnumber so we can update our audit Is there a way i can do this centrally so i can run a script and its all PC name and serial number? I have sccm but cant seem to find from there too thanks

Hi all I may have posted this in wrong place. Apologies in advance if it is. We have real smart where we export and place the CSV file to a folder then it creates AD accounts for us. I have no idea where or how the accounts created. Is it a script or a software, but is there way we can check as it seems to have stopped working and i cant find anywhere to start from. Checked all DC, task schedule but no joy! thanks

Hi all we are fully google school, no staff uses outlook. We have some legal guys that send us EML file attatchements from their outlook tour SBM. As yuo cant open that in gmail, i dont wish to setup outlook for the user, is there any other way round this that we can open that file? Thanks

Some GPO is applied at staff computers, then re-applied further down in multiple places, some have specific softwares for depts. I am not sure why Inventry mapped drive is also assigned at top level when only 5 users or so need it! Some OU have printers too. It is mostly softwares - i plan to over come software installs via SCCM in future so these can all come out of GPO
