Hi all Having started new job recently, looking to re-do the group policy as its currently a mess. One example is zoom is being installed in 4 different locations to same PC via different OU/GPO'S. One aspect is student/staff restrictions. Is there a sample we can use than creating one from scratch? Ideally i dont like tying staff down too much but enough for it to not cause much issues for us Any ideas or is starting from scratch only option ? We are using LTSC widnows 10 Thanks

Hi all Have weird issue. We have printer where we have reserver ip address x.x.1.34 on DHCP with mac address etc After soemtime the ip add is reverting to .36. I checked in DHCP and no mention of .36 under lease or anywhere. when i restart the printer it picks up .34 again works and again after while reverts back to 36 I have no idea where its picking up 36 from Can i just change ip address to printer to .36 and will papercut auto config it self or do we need to remove printer from papercut and add back in with new ip address?

Hi all we had a apple ipad on meraki few weeks ago. It had ipad unavialble error and we couldnt go past it Did a factory reset by plugging to itunes. I have today added the wifi password but it is not auto enrolling back on meraki. I thought after wifi password it should add in but its not any ideas? Thanks

Hi all Started new job on monday! I am looking to deploy spiceworks to network just so it can give me audit on current PC stock for memory, cpu etc as the audi is non existent here! All desktops i noticed is version 1809 They use windows LTSB here too! As tried to update via microsoft site https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 but apparabtlyt LTSB not compatible there! We have SCCM - no wsus What is the best way to get the machines to latest version? I am not used to SCCM to be honest so thats bit if minefield at present!

Hi all We have a google school, users adding emails to personal phones. At present it creates a work profile and install google management tools. Is there anyway we can turn this off and staff can just install google emails etc like a personal account? Ideally we as IT dont want to manage things so wanted it off. Thanks

Hi Having issues with one specific PC. I have updated drivers and regenerated mdt image but the PC wouldn't boot up to MDT, it says NBP downloaded successful then just restarts. I use IP helper in core switches - do i still need to configure DHCP options? I read about flags but unsure, can someone guide where to add the flags? the PC manufacturer suggests to ensure its using EFI and not CSM. How can i cross check that i am using EFI? All other PC boots to MDT perfectly fine. Any other ideas?

Hi all we are looking to deploy windows 11 over Easter. usually we create a thick image and deploy but i was thinking if i can do a thin image, deploy windows 11 then setup MDT to deploy the attached software's? Can someone confirm if this is possible ? or can i do some MDT and some via GPO? thanks in advance

Hi all We have a old server 2008 that has RDP User cal installed. Can i setup a new fresh server 2022 and then install the cal from that to this new server, or would it only be licensed for 2008 server? If so what is best practice? a migration of license or fresh install?

Also to add this is mainly for LGFL, when users go to freedom2roam, it shows server is just reconnecting and doesnt go further. We have another server and that works fine. Not sure if there is a link between these 2.

Hi all For windows devices our RDP has stopped working with below error Remote desktop connection – The digital signature of this RDP File cannot be verified I have checked and seems to work from apple devices but windows devices keep getting above error. I have checked certs and cant see anything Obvious. have followed below even though it seems its for apps only but certificate says not configured if i follow the below https://www.thirdtier.net/2019/12/12/remoteapp-the-digital-signature-of-this-rdp-file-cannot-be-verified/ Any ideas?

Hi all I look after one primary school, they have smartnotebook version 17. The key seems valid for one year when purchased, but when i install it seems to be activating ok? Says activated etc. Am i missing something? will it stop working after 1 month or something? i would've thought activation would've failed as key was valid for specific date range? I have been telling school that the key has expired so need to update and now i see this! so just bit curious why is working thanks

Hi We have a teacher who has the password administrator role assigned in Office 365, is team owner for all groups (not that this matters) but teacher is unable to reset password for most users except her class it seems She keeps getting below error you cannot reset the password for this user because they have admin roles But the user is not part of any admin roles or anything so its bugging me!
