Have a look at http://www.youtube.com/account_school while logged in on the school account. You can add accounts near the top of the page. Not sure I'm following you here. You can manage the account associated with your header string just like any other. The header mod stops you logging in to youtube, so if you want staff to be able to add things to playlists so they are visible to students, you'll have to exempt them from the rule. I've had a look into this and the only way to do it would be to redirect users from youtube.com to youtube.com/user/accountname. This creates some issues with the education header, with users getting dumped to youtube's blockpage. If IE is your browser of choice you can add a bookmark via GPO I believe, or just add a shortcut. The Silverstone Fortress ft03 looks nice, not sure if it will be small enough for what you want. It got good reviews too, on Bit-tech, Overclock3d and Techpowerup I'm using it's big brother at the moment. Not had any personal experience with the FT03, but photos don't do Silverstone's manufacturing quality justice, and their TJ07 has been a strong selling case since 2008.

Hi Chr1s One thing that may have been overlooked is the age of the E5620. It came out Q1 2010, but the architecture it's based on (Nehalem) is from way back in 2008. The 2600k is based on Sandy Bridge. A Much newer Architecture (Q1 2011) with lower power requirements. It's just faster. Desktop and server chips come from the same Fabrication plant and are made with the same materials/process, so there should be no difference in their longevity. I've still got a Pentium 4 sitting around that's been on for about 4 years. Xeons add ECC support and multi CPU support (do you need it?) but I7s support up to 32Gb of RAM with the right motherboard, which by the sound of it is plenty. All the chips you've mentioned support virtualization, and these days you have to go quite far down the range to find a chip that doesn't. HTH.

This. Currently got a pair of CX300 IIs. I ran my original CX300s into the ground over a couple of years. Love em. They are very 'music-y' though, lots of bass, lots of treble, and a noticeable dip in between. Of course, if you want to take that concept to the extreme, these are amazing. Warm, round and so much bass. Higher up, Denon do some good in-ear ones. These have some of the most comfortable buds I've ever used and have a nice balanced hifi sound, probably better for spoken word than the other two. Over head, don't buy anything that isn't these. Indestructible, perfect sound, and spares parts available. Had a pair for 7 years and never had to replace anything. Then someone stole them EDIT: re: Beats by Dr. Dre. They're good, but not 3 figures good.

I'm not sure there is. Permissions don't apply if you haven't booted from the OS enforcing them. In what situation? Using a live CD? Are you dual booting? Which distro & which version of windows? EDIT: difinity, beat me to it. If you're dual booting you can set linux not to mount the windows partition at startup. How depends entirely on your distro. Mounting partitions/drives is restricted to root usually.

Try moving Having content outside the tags is generally a bad idea, as different browsers handle it differently resulting in an inconsistent look accross different browsers. ohalcock.com looks fine to me.

Diesel's tend to be better long distance cruisers and generally more economical. They also tend to be happier at higher mileage than petrol equivalents, since they're simpler internally. And they're cheaper to tax than their petrol equivalent. Downsides are servicing and insurance can be more expensive, since most diesels have turbochargers (they're a bit gutless without them). In my (limited) experience, german diesels are pretty much bomb proof, especially the VW/Audi group ones (includes SEAT and Skoda). FYI, the Audi A4, VW Passat and Skoda Superb from around 2000-2001 are exactly the same car, each one's just wearing a different suit.

I did a spell in audio and lighting a long time ago. Velcro cable ties can be pretty good for stuff thats in regular use, they're cheaper than new headphones/cables too. I think you can get ones that actually glue to the cables, which would stop them disappearing down the back of the computers.

I Run LXDE at home and Gnome2 at work, both on top of Ubuntu. Don't forget, one of the beautiful (and sometimes dangerous) things about Linux is that if you don't like something, you can change it! I'd recommend sticking with one distro and changing the desktop environment until you find one you like. I tried no less than 8 of the ones here before I settled on my current setups. Most distributions have a simple way of installing new software, e.g. apt-get on Ubuntu or portage on Debian. Desktops can be installed and removed through these systems just like anything else.

Can you remember which one? I've got a DSL-2640B. Does the job, but seems to have 'moods' sometimes, especially with the wireless. It's getting swapped out soon though.

What language are you using? Most support this, usually with a | (pipe) or an 'or'

I'm a Linux user myself, but have scripts for all sorts of things, stripping specific elements from large files, bulk creation/delete (careful with that last!), anything repetitive or involving a lot of information. My advice would be learn something like python or perl, both have pretty straightforward file handling and will teach you all the basics of programming quite quickly, which is really all scripting is. Most important of all, enjoy it!

Sounds like a proper Q car... AS far as I'm aware, it's only worth running premium if you've got a grey import or something that's mapped for 97/98 RON. Evos, Imprezas, MR2s etc. Some of these even need octane boosters on top. Nothing else will see much of a difference. Just my 2p.

Hi Butters. Taking the stance that schools are charged with safeguarding both children and staff on site, there are numerous reasons not to allow complete access to facebook in schools. Have a sniff around for university studies and some of the bigger news stories involving facebook over the last year, a surprising number of them centre around a school. This BBC article raises some interesting points. This page gives some advice to children who are having problems online, though you could read a lot into the face that it needs to exist in the first place. This paper raises some interesting points. The teachers I know personally have opinions ranging from indifference to revulsion, though none of them actually use facebook themselves. This blog post explains the smoothwall solution to this conundrum. Hope this helps.

Ah, that would be me misreading youtube's literature then. It seems only the channel owner can add videos, so the only option would be to give teachers access to that account. My apologies.

Hi mdench. This appears to be a known issue. Depending on how comfortable with the command line you are, this fix may help. This also appears on the Ubuntu forums, and the same thread has details of how to 'try it once' a bit further in. If it goes wrong, reboot and you're fine. Both involve a tweak to Grub. Speaking from bitter experience, fiddling with your bootloader can have catastrophic consequences if you get it wrong. I keep a live CD and connection to google on hand to recover.

I believe the admin's channel is accessible by everyone using the header associated with that account. So if the header is associated with username YourSchoolAdmin, heading to youtube.com/YourSchoolAdmin or youtube.com/user/YourSchoolAdmin (youtube seems to choose randomly which one you get) should bring up the appropriate channel, complete with playlists. The channel names are case sensitive.
