Https errors? Are you using google maps securely? Try it without https if you are. And what's wrong with your authentication exceptions?

AS @tom_newton said, I don't think you'll need all those urls. Have you got "Body onLoad Action" enabled somewhere in your content mod? That seems to break Google maps.

Have a look at your realtime logs in Logs and reports » Realtime » Web filter. Fill in the Username or IP address: box with a user having this issue and see if anything's getting blocked and by what policy. Anything being caught by adverts shouldn't be causing problems, let us know what you find.

A new GPU will get you more performance in games, but a new CPU will get you more performance everywhere. Have a look at this article. It's a bit old, but not a huge amount has changed and it shows that even a modern budget dual core is quick enough for most of us. There are also a number of issues with SLI depending what games you play and whether or not Nvidia has deemed your favourite game worthy of a profile in the drivers. Sometimes you get almost double the framerate with two cards, and sometimes you actually take a performance hit... Whacky stuff.

Any reason it's that card in particular? If you're doubling up for SLI then fine, but for the price of a used 280 you could probably pick up a newer midrange card (a GTX560 for example) which will be just as fast but add extra shiny bits like HDMI and DirectX 11.

Unfortunately this is quirk of how youtube/google have implemented this feature. You can see individual videos if they are in a playlist, but you can't watch the playlist from behind the edu-filter. We've raised the issue with them.

Is the pattern consistent? The front pair should look the same and the rear pair should look the same. If not, you may want to get your calipers/pads checked as the car might start pulling to one side under heavy braking.

Bought a friend of mine the predecessors to these for his birthday. He likes them. There's a USB version called the Vengeance 1500 too. Never used them myself, but I can say his name from two feet away when he's got them on and he won't even flinch.

Disconnect everything bar CPU & Ram (and graphics card if there's no video output on the motherboard). If that couple with a new/replaced bios makes no difference not you may have a knackered Mobo. If your motherboard has a removable EEPROM chip, a small expenditure may get you a new one, no guarantee of that fixing it though. What are the specs?

Looks like a choice between a AMD 6870 and a GTX550 then. You can find both for around £120 and both are fairly happy gaming at 1920x1080, so will be fine at 1280x1024. You may find your CPU starts to hold it up with some newer games though, so I'd think about upgrading that next. Slightly jealous of the SSD... EDIT: Beaten to it by @sonofsanta

Ah the quagmire of buying a new graphics card. How much do you want to spend? How big is your monitor? What's the rest of your system like? If you're thinking about a GTX550 I'd say try and squeeze up to a GTX560. Be aware though, the GTX560 and GTX560Ti are very different cards. The latter is faster and more expensive. The GTX660Ti is due out in a month, which will mean cheaper but dwindling stocks of 550s/560s and another card to choose from.

You could boot the DBAN image over the network. If you are booting off a disk with DBAN, once the wipe process has started you can move on. You don't need the disk as the whole thing lives in RAM. Hard drive wipes are more dependent on the drive's speed and what erase method you're using. A quick zero-fill will be faster than multi-pass random-number fills.

Have a look a this post to check if you have the header set up correctly. It needs to go in Content Modification rather than as a Block/Allow rule.

I've found it helps generally, this is purely anecdotal mind. It may be that we just had one persistent neighbour trying to brute force us with a toaster. I've done it with a linksys wrt54g (flashed to dd-wrt) as well.

I've just got one of these at home, up from a DSL-2460r. That had trouble with wireless, but masking the SSID seemed to improve things dramatically, so we've done that from the get-go with the superhub. Had it less than a week, but all seems well so far.

This is an interesting piece on unbranded PSU's from a couple of years ago. I've never bought a 'generic' since. That wasn't a one off either... Something like this may cost a bit more and 'only' do 450w, but it's plenty for your average desktop, and you get a 2 year RTB warranty.
