  1. Its not acceptable that this happened but its not the end of the world, people spend too much time on those consoles anyway. I just hope vital systems are not as easy to bring down as game networks. If they are god help us all.
  2. Apparently there will be "leakage" with that. I think be will have to use a 360 instead. You would think they would add an option.
  3. Long story but its being used in a Faraday cage/room for an experiment and if the wireless cannot be disabled another console will have to be found which allows the wireless to be switched off. It seems it not possible to do anything to the actual wireless card as its not detacable.
  4. Hi, Does anyone know if you can turn off the wireless on the PS4 completely so its not sending out a wireless signal? Thank-you
  5. I did this ages ago I think its in the GP under computer config then windows and registry. I deployed registry keys to create the user if I remember rightly but that was some time ago. edit: I think I was wrong this looks like how to: http://blog.korteksolutions.com/how-to-create-local-accounts-via-group-policy/
  6. I just come across this its only been online a few days:
  7. Our door is open if someone is in, and closed if not. This is to stop things being stolen. Staff and students can just walk in and I think this is better than a help desk although we do have one.
  8. I was just being thick it was asking for the recovery key, not the start up key.
  9. You have to be really really careful. They can claim you have broken it, then it ends up at the heads door even though its really not anything to do with her.
  10. I have used purple cat I think you can buy the bulb on its own without the power/bracket part, you just have to transfer it over from the old bulb. Saves a bit.
  11. I mostly work in new schools so you would think no ghosts. I did work in a building from the 70's which is still "new" compared to others. Anyway nothing happened in the 70's building, but staff say its haunted I have never seen anything. Something did happen in the new build, brand new school. I was working alone in the building, only one other person who was on the front desk (I checked the CCTV after), I heard voices like someone was talking in the room next door, this was on a sunday afternoon, So I went to the room, no one there. No voices either. Now this building is one level. I went back to get on with work, again I hear voices like someone is talking next door. I got up again, and the voices stopped. I looked in every room and no one was there. I decided the work could wait till Monday and went to another section of the school. Two months later I hear staff talking about the cleaning lady who went into one in the same area of the school, screamed her head off and claimed she see a moving figure. ??????????? Make your own mind up. I don't believe in ghosts in the sense that they walk about like people, but I think there is something there, even if its like the stone tape theory. I do believe live in god.
  12. I think its a glitch. We have an iMac brought in from a staff member. It is dual boot with os x and Windows 8.1. The windows 8.1 partition is Bitlocker encrypted. The iMac was brought in because when its turned on, it boots fine, asked for the recovery key which you can enter, shows the boot screen win 8 logo but then goes to a blank screen. Tried an external display no luck. So I assume a start up issue, go into windows 8 recovery mode, start up repair, and I am then asked for the recovery key. Only problem is I can't enter it, it only allows me to enter numbers, no letters. I have tried everything, different keyboards, different keyboard layouts, no luck. Any ideas? thanks. I did think perhaps I can throw it out of the window and see if windows enters recovery mode?
  13. Why would you have cctv anyway, outside yes, but inside?????? unless you are rich.
  14. I might consider doing it if I could grow it.
  15. No, its not. The law would of asked and considered the same question. The school have a responsibility to try and keep track of students and their actions in relation to the school. It is not the schools fault, but in my opinion more could of been done in the months leading up to the incident. The fact that he posted messages and made comments in school, and even flashed a knife, and yet no other student reported it, would suggest to me the workings of the school need to be improved i.e. trust between staff and students. Of course the school cannot control a student if they one day decide to come into school and stab someone, but I would think in most cases students show some sign they are not right in their behavour before an incident. I would not pay much attention to the press how do they know what his upbringing was like, just because something appeared fine does not mean it was. They can't state that as fact. I agree that he should never be released and he is guilty of murder. What I am saying is, if something did happen to him, how do we know if that happened to us we would of not turned out the same way.
  16. I get a speed of 40Mb on the router, but on a speed test it ranges from 25Mb to 35Mb depending on what day you run it. Some times it falls to 10Mb of below at peak times. But still much better than ADSL.
  17. I would be interested to see what his childhood was like. Clearly there was a dangerous malfuncion within his head. I refuse to believe someone could be born that messed up. People can be born and susceptible to certain illnesses, But the extent of his behaviour would lead me to believe all was not well before hand. And if that is the case, is he really responsible? He is physically responsible, he did murder her, he is also dangerous and likely can never be released. But is it his fault? The signs were there but ignored, there is certainly to some extent a shared responsibility.
  18. They have to keep going, they would of known the risks. Does not change that it is horrible to happen.
  19. Not for TV, unless you have a really nice head teacher.
  20. Its on Sky News now.
  21. Well its good to know they are on the ball and keeping watch.
  22. I still cannot decide if he is guilty of murder or not. Part of me thinks he was telling to truth, but then I ask why did she have her phone with her, why was the toilet door locked, why would you fire before you knew who you were shooting at. Maybe panic, I guess we will never know.
  23. I have Sky Fibre FTTC, and only get about 15Mb on average, I was one of the first to sign up in the area and it was 32Mb when I first got it. It is a lot more reliable and faster, even if it drops to 10Mb to which is near what I got on ADSL, it downloads HD content a lot faster. I know its an issue with over demand on the system as I get a 40Mb connection to the exchange. But for £20 I think its a good deal, could go to BT which is £15 but can't be bothered with dealing with open reach again.
  24. Sky are working on a new HD box which apparently has no HDD, its all hosted on servers. I prefer to have it on a HDD.
