Well we've added the 2 exclusions when we upgraded to 6.4.43, and it made zero difference on the 1 station we currently have 1803 on. Thankfully it's my technicians workstation ( @DJ-1701 ) and he would have replied but he's spent the last several minutes waiting for Edge to finish launching with Impero running

If the first part of your e-mail address is the same as the user name and it's just a one off update you want to do Select the users in AD and go to Properties Tick the E-Mail field and enter the value as %username%@yourDomain.ltd Click OK

Minint stands for Minimum Windows NT - It is a preinstallation name used by things like WinPE

Don't forget you will need to update 365 logon credentials if you want users to login with their new username format Set-MsolUserPrincipalName -UserPrincipalName [email protected] -NewUserPrincipalName [email protected]

For that distance internally, I'd just put a double run of copper in so you had redundancy.

It was a recommendation from Becta that student usernames should not be their name, but that body has long since gone.

That article also states that blocking authentication isn't a good approach. It's even more of a headache if you have other sites that are using your 365 credentials for authentication as it doesn't just block access to e-mail but everything 365 related.

One way is not to link their account to the phone and don't login out of hours, but we know that in this day and age no-one will actually do that. I have a mail tip set on my account stating I won't read messages after 4pm, but that doesn't stop any of the staff from sending e-mails at stupid o'clock even though it pops up at the top of the message when they compose it!

we also have our script (well DJ's script) that also checks if it's already installed and installs the space module as well. so far it's not given us an error on install
-
We use a cmd script to install it via SCCM and it has the command line of LME-EV3_Full-setup_1.3.0_en-GB_WIN32.exe /q /AcceptLicenses yes /r:n

It does work in Outlook, depending on which version of Office you have installed depends on how seamless it is. If you are running Office 2013/2016 and receive an encrypted e-mail via the Office 365 OMEv2 method, it will ask you to login to the OWA to access the mail. We found that using the Office 365 Click to Run install of Office removes that requirement and displays it in just the same manner as in OWA. As for sending encrypted e-mails, again slight difference between the versions of Outlook. In 2013/2016 it is the Do Not Forward Permission, but in OWA/Office365 Outlook it has it correctly labelled as Encrypt. We have a mail rule setup so any outgoing mail that has the subject line starting with Encrypt automatically gets sent with the OMEv2 Encryption.

GDPR CCTV clip to parent

If the screen is viewable by someone who is not authorised to review the footage (such as students) then you should review when it is on or relocate the screen so it is not visible. Only exception would be if the screen is only showing a feed from the location the camera is in and the viewer can be seen in shot. The same as how supermarkets often have the big screen above the enterence and self service tills with the single camera feed of that 1 area being displayed, but the security guard at his post can see all the screens in thier shielded displays. -
It should do, but worth testing with a user. So if mail value was [email protected], the proxyAddress value should be so that 365 still knows which should be the primary one. SMTP:[email protected] smtp:[email protected]
-
Ah the wizard will only see what is in the mail field, even if you have a main and an alias set in the proxyAddress attribute
-
Have you updated the mail field in the users AD to be your new one?
-
@VeryPC_Colin_M Lucifer knew it might not be getting renewed so they did the major cliffhanger ending on purpose in an effort to get renewed (or picked up elsewhere).

RM Safetynet Userbased Filtering Issue
Boredguy replied to Boredguy's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Well update is I have to force a app sync via Unify.. however you can only do it once per 24 hours so I have to wait until 10:25 before I can press the button! -
RM Safetynet Userbased Filtering Issue

Was checking the logs most of the day. Only had credentials failed error after we had left at 16:20, before then all the handshaking was working correctly and data was uploading to that side. -
RM Safetynet Userbased Filtering Issue
Boredguy replied to Boredguy's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
See that's the thing, our Sync to Unify is working correctly @Steve21. I even created a new account yesterday and that is happily appearing in Unify just not in blasted safetynet so I've had to create a new GPO setting to force the staff I know who changed their password yesterday back to the standard non user filtering so they can access their e-mail today. -
Since yesterday morning (8th May) we noticed that the users who have changed their password have not had it sync across to RM Safetynet (but it shows as being ok in Unify) which meant several staff and students had no internet access. Support have been as helpful as a chocolate teapot with "I'll get back to you in an hour" and it took a lot of effort to get some sort of reason as "its happening to everyone". So I was wondering if anyone else experienced the same issue since yesterday as a check at 8am this morning still shows account details have not synchronised and status pages all claim to be working fine. Should mentioned this was via the SWGfL, but if anyone on another ISP had similar issues would be interesting

I believe it should be sited in such a way that only the security guards could view it. Taken from the ICO code of practice. Now if it's just them walking in the gate they can see that would be ok

We bought the plate pre cut from amazon, borrowed the site teams drill with a metal drill bit. Nothing fancy.

Our low tech solution to replacing mounts has been 3mm aluminium plate screwed to the new projector, then bolted to the existing mount. Drill the holes exactly where you need them for a fraction of the price of a new mount
