  1. Did you have to take your socks off to count that high
  2. I can confirm that from where I am sat he is not a human.
  3. Heel boy then put the kettle back on You know that toe of us can play the bad pun games.
  4. Please, that joke had no real sole to it.
  5. Don't forget you can disable the onedrive/sharepoint component for users via your o365 licencing so you can still have them using Office, but without the option to save to onedrive.
  6. You may only be able to get refurbed from a quick google search on the part number
  7. you appear to be referencing a different signature than this thread is referring to
  8. It depends if you are using AD synchronised e-mail groups, or if they are cloud based. If they are Active Directory groups, you can edit the dLMemSubmitPerms attribute in AD with the CN valid of a group that can send to it eg CN=Staff,OU=Users,DC=School,DC=Internal would only allow users in the Staff AD group to send. If it's a cloud based group, it should be similar via the GUI
  9. Using powershell and a either a CSV file or a loop, you can select more We used the following to get all our 1000 student accounts, and update their teams policy. We set the office value via AD when we create their network accounts to it's helpful when doing filters in 365 $users = Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited | Where-Object {$_.Office -eq "Student"} if (($users)){ foreach ($user in $users){ Grant-CsTeamsMessagingPolicy -PolicyName "EduStudent_Custom" -Identity $user.UserPrincipalName } }
  10. Normally the problem is they hit the reply button thinking it's just going to the original sender, but it defaults to reply all so everyone in the list gets it. It is rare you ever need to reply to all, but MS thought otherwise
  11. Yea I meant BW since you said you'd watched the first Episode.
  12. @LeMarchand which channel was that on? Didn't notice it in the sky listings
  13. That's why we found the powershell as you can only pick 20 people at a time via the GUI
  14. You need to run this from a powershell session that is connected to your Office 365 tenancy (https://www.meetio.com/resources/guides/connecting-exchange-online-powershell has step by step guide on how to connect) The command I provided will set all users to have the default "reply" set to "Reply to All" disabled, and that is what we have for our staff and students trust wide.
  15. You can use powershell to change the teams policy that is applied to users. It's not the most straightforward system. The powershell commands needed are Import-Module SkypeOnlineConnector $Session = New-CsOnlineSession Import-PSSession $Session for the initial connection to Teams. You might need to set a proxy setting in powershell for it to connect depending on what type of web filtering solution you have. Then you can use Grant-CsTeamsMessagingPolicy -PolicyName "EduStudent_Custom" -Identity
  16. You can do it via powershell. Get-Mailbox –Resultsize Unlimited | Set-MailboxMessageConfiguration –IsReplyAllTheDefaultResponse $false
  17. Good to see you pay attention to what people write. VM's were not a thing when we installed Linux
  18. Oh you do know that a replacement sump is only about £36
  19. This would assume that the person with the knowledge has not met our big red bus that we should all have DR planning in place for. Certainly it's easier to document processes for commercial applications than open source ones. We used to run several Linux boxes and I had pages of instructions on how to replicate the configuration files for all the services, and every time we updated the server hardware, I had to spend hours going though and updating it all as the OS build had changed, the application repository had moved. That is the sort of things you have to factor as part of the TCO of an application.
  20. I agree with @mikeprice that it sounds like a good swap. If you know about an issue, then it's good karma to mention it. If it is just a new sump, then it's likely not going to make much difference as it's something they can easily replace. You won't be able to drive the new car off the forecourt straight away.. there is this little thing called Insurance and Road Tax to sort out, but that can be anything from collect the next day to next month.. up to the dealer.
  21. Strange, all I had to do was install the SQL runtime library, and then the client ran happily from the remote share
  22. Did you install the sql run time files? (sqlncli.msi)
  23. we had an issue last month with GCSEPod, but ours syncs via Wonde not Groupcall, and it turned out to be a SIMS.ini error.

    Damn WOL

This is why we just get our staff to turn the computers on in their room when they get in each morning. Only takes 30 seconds or so for the PC to get to the logon screen with Windows 10 and a SSD. Having a scheduled task to wake them up means having to remember to update it during the holidays.
  25. Well you replace with the C:\Powershell\NiceSecurePasswordFile.txt which contains your password (or where else you choose to store the file) The instruction on creating the file is 4 lines above it in the script
