They might try and say that if you watch any BBC content on YouTube you need a TV license. Bit skeptical the BBC is always trying to push people to buying a TV license and the controversial license reminder letters, more and more people are cancelling. Personally they could not pay me to watch BBC anymore or any main stream media outlet. See what happens when the charter is due for renewal in 2027.

Blooming hate that globe crud. A packet capture might help but you'd want to do that on a mirrored i.e. uplink port to the core switch. Then see what stage end device is failing on a problematic end device i.e. does end device try to discover, does server offer, does end device request, is ack sent? Possibility faulty switch?? Network card driver on devices? Seems very wierd, one thing with Win10 and upwards is that they normally only need a eth cable disconnect/reconnect and that forces a DHCP discover so why that fixes the issue could relate to device/switch issue. If it was routing it would not only be issues with DHCP.

They will prob ruin it in some way, the shaky cameras, the hair roller style blasters, bring back fond memories 😞 Some years back they ran the whole series early morning on a Sunday, like 6am along with the old Doctor Whos, yep I got up especially to watch and I can't say I'd do that for anything on BBC, ITV or CH4 now a days.

Could be partly an issue with safety. If you are going to get out of a car to help do not leave your car running and lock it. Also would be fool hardy to get out on a motorway for a live lane, pull over and report the incident to the police, they can inform traffic control to light up warning signs and deal with it. But If safe and I have the opportunity to help I always will as I'm sure others would too and seen others help.

Think it was said on this forum that there would be no petrol stations by 2025, lol. I think rural areas will be very late to the game. I also think that if public transport was a lot better i.e. reliable, cheap for long journeys, more coverage/capacity there would be less cars, it will not suit everyone of course and there will be a need for personal transport of some sort for decades in my view. The issue with Public transport of course is that one small thing likely impacts a large number of users.

So many traffic incidents/collisions do not need to happen. Very few are medical/mechanical and even then some of those can be put down to the driver/owner not taking responsibility i.e. medication not taken, medical symptoms ignored, mechanical failure due to poor maintenance, etc. The biggest issue causing road collisions/incidents with human road users is lack of planning/observation, patience and ignorance.

I think you only need to configure on switch where the actual phones connect. Is this a dedicated voice vlan?

Entirely, create a service account with the rights needed for the purpose. It is the same with LDAP/S auth methods i.e. any service that authenticates users by LDAP/S, should not need domain admin, jus a domain user account will normally suffice, a dedicated AD account per use so you know where it has been used.

Could you run the switches that USSF provide manually on a client PC as a test to rule out any issues with deployment? If that works maybe get in contact with PSAppDeploy makers for support?

My BT router did not provide modem mode. I've removed it and using a MikroTik now although any decent 3rd party ethernet router should do. The MikroTik connects direct to the ONT via ethernet. I've generally found BT routers very limiting especially when it comes to IPv6 routing. They should give you a username/password for the PPPoE although with BT you can find it with the BT modem plugged in to the ONT, online and using the BT online website when logged in.

I see a lot of cabling jobs done by 3rd parties, OpenReach might do the initial investigation then sub it out. Both me and my neighbor had the physical cable laid by 3rd parties.

Check OpenReach. I still think it is the case that only OpenReach (or their sub contractors) or Virgin Media can dig pavements to run underground cables for Internet/Phone. Next flat had fibre installed (by openreach) and it only took a few months because their provider was not BT, lol.

Does it show up correctly if you install the driver manually? If manually works have you tried the USSF tool.

I'm a stickler for using specific service accounts and only giving them accounts the access they need. With the right permissions a domain admin account should not be needed much at all. Certainly not for day to day stuff. I'd also create elevated accounts for IT admin which they use for IT admin tasks. You might be able to check in logon event viewer where the domain account is/has been used.

Have you tried allowing UDP 66 and 67 both ways? Have you put in the WDS server as an IP helper if different from the DHCP server?

LastPass is the bottom of my list and I would not recommend due to the security breach which showed bad practice. I am aware there are many breaches but I am sure this could of been prevented in numerous ways. Moved to Bitwarden which can be self hosted for the cost of a pro licence. Would always suggest a hardware key for MFA too especially to valuable resources.

That is a shame but personally I have fallen out with MS as a Client OS. Bought a MAC M2 Pro last year but built a Windows PC purely for gaming. That been said the M2 could easily run the games I like playing.
