Have you tried taking ownership of the profiles from the parent folder. You can tell it to replace permissions on subcontainers.

Hopefully this is what you are looking to do. (see attached). There are two tables one with the NCGrades and scores. The other will hold the score allocated to the pupil. The form has two controls on it. Both are bound to the NCScore field in tblstudentscore. The combobox uses a simple select query to show the data. When the NCGrade is selected it will automatically put the score into the student record. NCGradeLookupDB.zip

What else is in the parent folder? Would you be able to run the Replace Permissions on there without making too many changes to the other permissions you have set on those other files/folders?

Is the folder on a PC or Server? If it's on a PC, have you tried using the parent folder to reset the permissions. i.e. Go to the advanced security settings on the parent folder and use the replace permissions on all child objects. if it's on a server and you use Windows NT Backup, you could try restoring the folder, as NT Backup restores permissions. I have just checked on the Sims Supportnet website and it is definitely 7.99 for the December update.

An MSI would be ideal for deploying SIMS. The school uses Winsuite which stops the installer running for some of our staff. I have to go round evey client and update SIMS, as it is difficiult to know which clients will allow the installation of SIMS and which one's don't.
