If you were in our area, I'd consider you for a voluntary position (sorry, can't pay) but would compensate with experience and training. If we are willing to consider, I would assume that others would do the same (especially now during summer when a lot of the project work is being done).

Adobe's enterprise tool creates the AdobeUberInstaller.exe and AdobeUberInstaller.xml files - I wish that they would create a msi file...

Sorry what are you using MDT or SCCM? As I assume that you want an example of a task sequence? Not a MDT sequence?

We tried for weeks to get it to work with SCCM 2012 - we ended up moving down to MDT. One thing that I'd like to just say is to remember to change the install path in the AdobeUberInstaller.xml file, if you move the installation files to another location.

Thanks guys How did you managed that? Th answer we got from 10zig was that we had to launch it via the web browser. We are trialing their WES7 and WES8 thin clients. How did you managed this? We tried the vWorkspace connector and that either errors out or it connects to the host server, not the individual VDI sessions. According to Wyse the firmware for 2012 compatibility isn't out yet. However if you can post the instructions for the work around, that would be great. We've also got the Wyse T10 models.

Windows 2012 (or Windows 2008 r2) VDI solution doesn't need a SAN and personal/pooled desktops are a feature of VDI, regardless of which version you go for. But thanks for answering anyway What I was looking for is if anyone has implemented the Windows 2012 VDi and got their thin/zero clients to connect up to a session straight away (after logging in). Instead of having to go to the RDS website to sign in, then launch the session/desktop, then log in again onto the session/desktop...

Hi All, We are in the testing phase of the Windows VDI RDS 2012 solution, has anyone currently successfully implemented it? If so, how's it going and what thin client boxes are you using. Last question, if poss, can we come and take a look? So far, it works if you're on a PC/laptop or on BYOD but we can't find any thin/zero client that is compatible with it (no 10Zig and Wyse at the moment haven't released compat devices). Thanks -Ken

While I haven't done Wing Chun myself, a couple of my old mates have and they were very good... One of them studied it in conjunction with Lee Style kung fu and the other one studied it as his main aim. Unfortunately I've lost contact with both of them so I can't say which associations/clubs they trained at. One thing that I would say is try out a couple/several different Wing Chun clubs - just in case. I've seen a lot of promising martial art students try a style of karate, kung fu or kickboxing, etc not get on with the association/instructor/other students and then just give up on martial arts as a whole thinking that the martial arts is not for them just because of that experience. Like everything else, quality and what each instructor focuses on varies from club to club and association to association. @mac_shinobi there seems to be a couple of club in the Kettering area, not sure if they are still going though.

Isn't this the same think-tank that have had links with pushing the PFI programme and had a hand in saying that the Government polices would result in a 10% reduction in the NHS workforce, that it would be a good thing, without providing any calculations or reasonings?

It all boils down to funding from the Government. Same here The OU has several regional offices, however students are all over the world.

I don't know/I can't advise on all the modules or courses for you for the full Open degree, however the following modules would/could be useful: TM128 Microsoft server technologies, this year (Oct 2013) will be the last time this module will be running as the course itself will be update and there's no ETA on when this will happen. M258 IT project and service management, this is a new module that deals with ITIL and project management If you can also do the prerequisites (certain OU modules and certain MS exams) in time, the following module would be great in order to get the points towards your degree: MT127 Accreditation of Certificated Practitioners 1 TM227 Accreditation of Certificated Practitioners 2 These 4 modules together total 120 points. However contact the OU student services to confirm that all 4 can be put towards the Open degree. I guess just a few modules for you to think about -Ken

It depends on how you learn. I did the self study route, studied for a week (after work, during breaks, etc) and passed on the dot. You can read about it here and here.
