@mdrabble I'll have a look on Monday and post up the relevant config files that I changed for our environment. One gotcha is making sure that Apache LDAP is installed, that's got me in the past...

We get this occasionally and have done for years. We have three eportal servers, so staff just log on to another server. Restarting services tends to sort the issue out. We also reboot the servers every night and we tend to have less issues that way.

Makes a 'nice' change from power problems at Wakefield Council, guess they finally fired that cleaner...

From experience of previous downtime over bank holidays, it won't get looked at until the next working day after the bank holiday. So maybe service will be restored tomorrow? Can't wait for the deluge of emails once it's back up...

We are still on 2.3 and have just tried to install the online payments module. Even with x86 Java 7, it's not working as it should. Their solution is to migrate us rather then fix our existing version.

We use Tracmor, open source and very flexible. Previously had a WASP system that was crazy expensive and very inflexible. We bought asset labels and a Bluetooth barcode scanner from Amazon for £30. We have over 3000 assets in our system now...

We used to use MRBS but have now moved to Booked (https://www.bookedscheduler.com/whatsnew). Self hosted and AD integrated, works really well and actively being developed.

We are almost three years into a 5 year contract with RISO, I see no issue with the 8 machines we have lasting the term plus more. We could have done a 2, 3, 4 or 5 year agreement but obviously 5 made more financial sense. We have 7 ComColor 3010s and 1 7150, quality is fine for 98% of jobs and boy are they fast. Cost wise per page, they are unbeatable and support is on a 4 hour SLA. My mum is a business manager at a school and has had RISO machines for the best part of 15 years and is in fact the reason we got one on trial and then an agreement...

It's a real shame nothing has come of this thread. Was really looking forward to seeing what people had coded up...

I seem to remember having to change the setting in Bonjour's msi to ignore the language. Once that was done, it installed fine for Airserver.

Any chance of a share @weathmatth? As @kearton said, we are under the impression that there are no mac drivers for the ComColor unless you have a RIP device.

Hi Cache, I had this issue when we replaced the battery in our APC Smart UPS 3000VA. Even though we had put the new battery and all was well, it was showing a rubbish runtime and the battery lights were flashing on the front. I did some research and found some posts about some voodoo commands you can use with a Putty connection via a serial cable but then someone recommended a exe called APCFIX.exe. I was dubious at first, as the site is Russian, but the software is all in English and worked perfectly. It's a standalone installer and requires the serial cable that comes with the UPS to connect over COM1. I also had to remove the network card from the back of the UPS before it could communicate fully with the UPS. The link (in Russian) is apc-fix.com - For APCFiX users - Статьи and is very straight forward, worked for me. Just crazy that you have to do this!

Kearton is correct, the T7100 is a digital phone and therefore two phones cannot be connected to the same pair back to the PBX. If you want two phones on the same extension, you would need to acquire some ATA Digital to Analogue convertors and some analogue phones (assuming this is the same as the Nortel BCM range where we have a FAX and franking machine connected at the same time) However if you have a 'free' extension, I would utilise that spare pair of cable and add another phone with a different extension, then either; 1. Set up a hunt group set to broadcast and get people to call that number instead so it rings both phones at the same time. 2. Set up both extensions in a group so if one phone rings, the other person can pick up using FX75 (or Avaya equivalent) and vice versa. 3. Use Answer DNs so one somebody calls 307 (for example), 308 will ring at the same time and vice versa. At least with two digital phones on different extensions, you can have two simultaneous calls.

We have Facility on one server and then two other servers with just ePortal on them. Teachers then have a link to a simple static HTML page with links to each server. If one server has issues, they simply use the other. We even have a link on the page that opens a helpdesk ticket so they can report if a server has fallen over. This means we can also update one server and push everybody over to the other one. Also means we don't have to kick everybody out of Facility when ePortal falls over and won't get going again without a reboot.

You can use XIBO on Android devices. Device and licence for around £75 and small enough to attach to the back of the TV (same size as an Apple TV if you get the MINIX Neo X5 mini). Work both wirelessly and LAN if required.

We also run Groupcall Emerge on our Facility server on VMWare. Every couple of weeks we will get a call to say that Facility is running like a dog, only to find that Groupcall is hammering the CPU. I simply end the process and wait for it to happen again.

I would strongly suggest you take a look at the Android version for clients. We have two MINIX Neo minis which we get from Amazon for just over £50. Counter in a licence for £15 and you are looking at a cheap but very easy to manage system.
