  1. I used to have a VW camper, but south Wales != southern California, so I sold it. Back to tent now, but I've been intrigued by these fellas... Little Guy Teardrop Trailers - Home
  2. Cave? No. Incorrect terminology. It's a grotto. Think about it.
  3. It's well worth trawling local gov websites as they normally advertise vacancies. This site is normally used for teaching jobs, but non-teaching jobs do appear. http://www.eteach.com/Jobseekers/regionaljobs.aspx?region=5
  4. It's just to cover themselves in the case of any cross-contamination in the packing factory.
  5. You'd be wise to print stickers such as: Do not use in the bath or shower. Do not take internally Better safe than sorry.
  6. I just saw an article about this now. I think this will be a big deal.
  7. Ha! I suppose it could come under 'proxy avoidance', or a similar category. It looks like a good option for home and family use, though.
  8. 1. Is that the bloke off "The Voice"? 2. Why is he on his phone?
  9. This might be of use for some people (especially with children) ScrubIT
  10. This is what the internet is for. How long can you last? http://youtu.be/kKJRPPA6NBQ P.S. The ending is quite good. Hint: you can fast-forward
  11. Wow! It has screen resolution! Now THAT'S a feature we can't do without.
  12. That Aeropress looks an interesting gizmo. Any downsides to it?
  13. First, instant coffee is junk. That is an axiom. Now that I've demolished all arguments for drinking instant coffee, may I recommend "Hot Lava Java". I've just had a cup of this, and the way it's going I'll be awake all morning.

  20. As for comments, I use two colons (: One colon is used for labels, but two can be used for comments. :: this program is fantastic echo Hello
  21. Rather than piping dir to a file, I tend to use for loops e.g. for /F "usebackq" %%f IN (`dir stuff.txt /b /l`) do call :myroutine %%f goto :eof further down, I define my routine. It's not a true subroutine, but it's as close as you can get with batch. :myroutine echo I'm working with file %1 goto :eof
  22. Just buy a bunch of mantles (about £1 each) and you're all good. The light from a friend's gas lamp was far superior to my cold, heartless LED.
  23. Go for a gas one. There's nothing quite as nice as a gas lantern. The gas lasts for ages, but the mantle (sp?) is very fragile. Even an hard stare can destroy it. The gas canisters screw on/off to the lamp base.
  24. Challenge accepted. I'll look for it at lunchtime.
