I've just been tasked with seeing what's possible. It's the issues around social media which are causing problems. We can obviously block sites when the pupils are using our wifi but not when they use 4G etc. Like I said it's a tricky one.

Hi, Has anyone had any experience of setting parental controls on mobile phones? Whether this is practical in a school situation I'm not sure, but I've been asked to investigate. Has anyone set this up in their school? Any help would be appreciated, it's such a tricky one. Many thanks

Hi, I need to lock a Windows 10 pc to one website. I have successfully done this with a Windows 7 pc using content advisor. This is no longer available in Windows 10, I've read that it can be enabled in group policy but the content page option is not there. Can anyone help with this? Many thanks

Hi, I'm looking at getting a Chromebit to use as digital signage with a view to purchasing some more if successful. Are you happy with them? We want to use them for notices and probably some photo displays. They look great but I just wanted to get someone's opinion that actually uses them. Many thanks Sarah

I had a similar problem and after a prolonged call to Apple support i was advised to clear the cache on my browser. Which actually worked. Hope that helps.

We have had the same issue. I've created a policy in Smoothwall which blocks updates during the day. We have now also installed a new WSUS server which manages Windows 10 updates as our old one did not. It's been a real problem!

We are in the middle of trying to get sort out YouTube. I've set up restricted mode through Smoothwall but the user can scroll to the bottom of the page and turn it off. Has anyone else found this? Sorry if that's off topic. However, we would like restricted mode for pupils and full access for staff but without comments.

If you look under Device Management - Meraki Management on the iPad is the profile verified? I had some iPads that were not verified, I restored them using itunes, went through setup again and they were fine.

Hi, I am getting this same error on multiple apps, it's so frustrating. As we do have all the licenses, it seems really hit and miss as to what works and when. Have you had any luck with a solution robsonma? Thanks Sarah

Thanks for your help so I can sign up to ASM now anyway it's just that I won't be able to use all the features depending on which MDM I'm using. I'll have a look at Casper Suite, I need to make a decision soon but I don't want to rush into something and regret it later.

Hi, I need some advice about how to move forward with our iPad deployment. We currently have under 100 iPads and I use Meraki MDM (Legacy) with DEP and VPP for management and rolling out apps. This has worked pretty well but has been time consuming setting up. We have now purchased more iPads which will take us over the 100 (paid for Meraki) limit . I have been recommended to switch to ZuluDesk as Apple School Manager will work with this and it's considerably cheaper than upgrading to the paid for Meraki. From what I understand Apple School Manager will do away with the need for apple id's which would be great and offer us greater control and functionality. So what i'm asking is should I carry on with our Legacy Meraki MDM which will work but has no support and limited functionality or move to ZuluDesk. I think paying for Meraki would be out of the question financially. Is Apple School Manager worth the move and has anyone been using ZuluDesk? Many thanks in advance for any advice, I'm feeling a little lost!

Thanks for the reply, I've compared your settings with mine and made some changes. It looks like GP setting for mapped drives is not being applied due to 'The specified network password is not correct' I'm really confused with it all, I'll hopefully get some time later today to have another look.

Using group policy preferences

Hello, I've upgraded about 30 pc's to Windows 10 Pro from Win 7 Pro. I'm having trouble with users connecting to home drives, shared drives and also group policy being applied. Generally the home drive error is 'bad username or password' and the shared drive error is 'device name is already in use' Looking at event viewer group policy is failing to be applied with 'the specified network password is incorrect' I have searched for help and tried a few different things but nothing has worked. Can anyone help, I'm on the verge of rolling back to Windows 7 Thanks in advance Sarah

Hi, I've now changed from a script to GP drive mapping which has worked. Users are now seeing their mapped drives. However, I'm having a nightmare with access to these drives. Home drives - access denied username and password incorrect. All other mapped drives - device name already in use error. I've tried various registry hacks etc. occasionally something will work but then reverts to no access. This is driving me mad!

Hi, I have upgraded a few pcs to Windows 10 and they only have the user's home drive showing in 'My PC' The other shared drives they should get, are not there. Can anyone help with this? Many thanks Sarah
