  1. Thank you very much for posting this. I was unable to contact Sophos Support directly (creating tickets, sending emails, calling support) nor was my local partner able to help so I'm really glad I happened across this. Our Sophos update account passwords were out-of-sync causing installation to fail on some clients, and requiring me to manually override the passwords on others. To resolve it all I needed to do was to change the password on the AD object, then enter that same password into the Sophos Enterprise Console, then force an update on all workstations.
  2. Thanks for the reply DaveP, but are you certain about the viewing of a domain account? It seems like many users if Italc are in a lab environment with a shared login username. Our situation is that the computers are joined to Active Directory and the 'students' each have a unique username/password which is managed by ADUC. The 'teacher' would log into their own PC with their assigned login name, and want to view the desktop of 'sally' who is logged in under her username. It seems like setting permissions via ACL made the most sense, so I've done that, but all I see when viewing a logged-in student's PC is the "Ctrl-Alt-Del' screen - as if I am connecting to the workstation over Remote Desktop. What I am looking for is more along the lines of Remote Assistance. Hope that clarifies the question.
  3. I have the same question. Is Italc able to view a domain-user's desktop? Or is it only able to exxentially provide RDP to the same local user account?
  4. Also experiencing this issue. 64-bit Windows 7 with 32-bit Office 2010. Word balks every time any document is opened and closed. Says it can't modify the Normal.dot file located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14" User is configured to use roaming profiles and redirected folders. I'd expect it to try to save Normal.dot to the user's profile on the share...
