I'm in need of a replacement 20" non-touch matte LED panel for a Lenovo M92z AIO computer. The FRU on the original panel is 03T6478. The IBM parts site says to call for a price, which I do, to be told the part has been replaced with FRU 03T6489. They want £240.16 for a new one. This seems rather expensive to me. I've been unable to find one anywhere less extortionate. Anyone have any leads or ideas? Thanks.

As per the title, Corero have merged with Civica and their MIS products are now all under the Civica brand.

We've discovered mobile apps named "REMS Staff" and "REMS College Connector" are available for both iOS and Android. However, we're not able to proceed past the login screen. It asks for a server address, username and password. However, I've not been able to come up with the correct combination for it to let me in. Anyone have it working, or have any tips for success?

Preventative maintenance? What's that? With 98 projectors on campus we never get time to clean them, except when we change a lamp we'll give the filters a blow-out then.

Hey Ninja, Thanks for your reply. The projector I took apart and prodded with a multimeter started working once I put it back together. Couple this with what you said about having to be drained and it led me to the solution. We simply weren't holding the power button down long enough to drain the capacitors of whatever leftover juice they had in them. I've now repaired 3 dead projectors by holding the power button for a minute with the power cable removed. The rest I'm waiting for class change time and by the end of the day they should all be working. Thanks again.

Hi all, We had some problems with power on Friday and come Monday morning we start getting calls that projectors won't work. We were able to bring most of them back to life by pulling the power cord, counting to 30, and reinserting. However, we have a number of NEC NP305 and NP310 projectors that are completely dead. Only these two models seem to be affected. Having a peek inside I can see what looks like a fuse soldered to a power board. Edit: Have checked the fuse with a multimeter, it's good. Anyone have a service manual for these projectors, or any advice for me? Thanks.

You'll often find me in Euro Truck Simulator 2 online multiplayer, as Toastmonster. The multiplayer is a 3rd party mod and is still in the alpha stages of development, but runs well enough.

I will be doing more research on this today to see if anyone in those search results has figured it out. mac_shinobi, I've tried flashing via the CD and it gives the same errors. I believe the RAM to be good given that it passes tests with Memtest86+ and also that when it does boot everything works perfectly. Bad RAM would cause great instability whilst running Windows. CMOS battery seems good. It retains all the settings and behaves as expected when disconnected and reconnected. Power supply is definitely the correct Lenovo supply. We have over 200 of these X131e laptops. I'll post back here if I make any progress.

Have a Lenovo X131e laptop that 95% of the time does not work. Pressing the power button lights the LED but shows no other signs of life. However, 5% of the time, it works perfectly fine, and it passes the POST and it loads the OS. It remains working until you restart the computer, at which time it then fails in the same manner as usual. Have had a few other X131e's that had the same problem, and they went back to Lenovo under warranty. They came back fixed and the repair ticket said that the BIOS was updated. Unfortunately this laptop is no longer under warranty, so I've been trying to get the BIOS updated during the rare times it actually boots. Firstly I tried using the BIOS updater for Windows, which complained that it couldn't read the current BIOS files. That suggested to me that something in the BIOS is corrupt. So next I've tried using the bootable ISO from a CD. This has given variable results from being unable to read the current BIOS to being unable to even start the flash process because "memory cannot be allocated, and the process did not complete". Seeing the mention of memory caused me to run a full pass of Memtest86+, which indicated no errors. I've tried removing the CMOS battery, I've tried discharging the system by holding down the power button with all sources of power disconnected, I've tried running it without the battery, I've tried without any RAM (it beeps, which is a good sign), and I've tried it with only one RAM module. I can find no rhyme or reason why it boots fine sometimes but usually just sits there being grumpy. Anyone have any similar experiences? Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks.

ESMserver.exe is digitally signed by "NCS Pearson". Pearson are a huge company, I don't see why they wouldn't have developers in house.

The Promissor Administrator program is also very fussy about Flash versions. The only way to test if the software is working as it should (loading Flash applets, etc) is by running a dummy test. To run a dummy test you have to first call them up and book one. You might find yourself needing to either downgrade or upgrade your Flash player. Regarding Abobe Reader, you need it installed on the server before installing ESM Server, or it will refuse to install. If I recall correctly, it doesn't recognise the latest versions of Adobe Reader even if they're installed. I think I had to install version 9, then install ESM Server, then upgrade Reader to the latest. The reason you can't run ESM Server and IIS together is because ESM Server runs a web service on port 80. This is the interface your exams staff will use to administer tests. Finally, ESM Server can't be run as a service. Your server needs to be logged in, with the ESM Server software open on screen, and someone needs to have pressed the 'Start' button for it to launch the web service.

Resurrecting this thread, is anyone else experiencing delays opening Office applications (notably Word and Powerpoint) with Smart Ink installed? Running Windows 7 Enterprise x64 with Office Professional Plus 2010 x64.
