The first post says that he has done that and it waiting on applying user settings The WMI errors are related to SCCM so not related. It looks like the machines can't contact the domain?
-
Do you happen to use SCCM?
-
Ahh then the hotfix might help?
-
Do you have any errors appearing in the logs of the affected machines? If you have a lot of wmi errors it could be this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2617858 That issue does display those symptoms.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

This is one of my gripes with GAFE. When I first setup it was so easy to use, after a couple of redesigns it seems to be so much harder to find the (simple) things that you need to do.
-
so far 365 does seem more simple to setup than GAFE. Also the UI for GAFE admin has got worse and worse, 365 is dead simple. And don't get me started on GADS or GAPS...
-
Thanks, I'll do that. Guess I'm so Googlified I expected it to convert over as soon as edu status was confirmed as per GAFE. I actually logged a call and got a call straight back from MS to tell us to the very thing you just said (can't imagine Google doing that!) Very impressed with 365 so far

Thanks, yeah I don't really mind letting the trial run out and carrying on but we are limited to 25 users at the moment.
-
So I am setting up a 365 site to test with a view to migrating from GAFE. So to the silly bit... I have verified the domain but the site is still in trial mode. I read somewhere that if you have verified the domain, when the trial runs out you can continue to use it for free. However, there are loads of education options in the 'purchase services' page that are £0.00/month. Can I add these and cancel the trial or should I wait. Thanks in advance.

Anyone done this? Just looking for experiences really. Why did you do it? Was it difficult, worth it etc? TIA
-
Exactly. I am glad its moved to Amazon as now I can't accidentally put it on the telly while I'm flicking through.

According to the SIMS Roadmap Win 10 support is coming with the Spring 2016 update. Been running it under Win 10 Education and haven't seen any issues yet.
-
I'm not sure they know what's going on. I was told by VLSC that we could use any of the three versions and gave us the keys...
-
Oh we have the KMS key for Enterprise. I had to ring up and ask for it but it wasn't an issue.
-
Here's what we get in VLSC from our OVS-ES. Enterprise is in there. We were told we could choose between Education, Enterprise or Enterprise LTSB.

Especially when the comments serve no purpose in the thread :/

Windows 10 education is only available with a volume agreement.

OVS-ES "organization-wide" clarification
sparkeh replied to michaelpau's topic in Licensing Questions
If you want to add something to an agreement you have to pay a full year's subscription. Hence when wanted to add Windows OS to our agreement we just took out a new one instead. It would make more sense if they allowed you to add a product to an existing agreement for the remaining term of the agreement but hey ho when has MS licensing been sensible. -

We have more than one agreement with MS...they don't seem to mind, in fact I have discussed it with them on the phone.
