1. I believe that's included in the A3 or E3 license, which a single license applied would technically open it up to the whole tenant.
2. If you can't see the Attribute Editor tab, you need to ensure that Advanced View is checked under the View menu in the AD mmc snap-in. The extra mail-related attributes aren't visible in the Attribute Editor tab, then you need to extend the Active Directory schema to include Exchange: https://support.exclaimer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/6776545275677-Can-I-extend-Active-Directory-schema-to-include-Exchange-Attributes
3. I presume they do, I just haven't had a chance to test it. Aside from casting to my own TV every now and again from my phone, I haven't cast a Windows laptop before. I'm hoping it is more secure than casting to my TV, where it just accepts any incoming cast request. Ideally I'd like it to prompt a pairing code or something, just so kids can't start randomly casting to the displays. Maybe that's already a thing, I just haven't tried yet. Hi Chris, it's not the BenQ app or TV I'm having issues with particularly, I want to be able to wireless cast a laptop display to various brands of interactive TVs without having to use multiple apps.
4. Then I'd consider reducing the job specification to match the value of the position.
5. Mirror the display/audio.
6. I did find BenQ's InstaShare 2 in the Play Store and installed it on a Newline, however it appears to be the casting out app, not the casting receiving app. By that I mean usually the TVs app shows the pairing code and you enter it on the device you want to cast from, but the app from the Play Store when installed on the TV is also asking to enter the pairing code and doesn't display one (there are basically no other options in the app either). It doesn't appear that BenQ have made the receiving app publicly available and nor have Newline with theirs.
7. Thanks for those, though I forgot to specify (since edited) that we're after a free universal app solution if possible, as we don't have the budget to purchase anything for this.
8. We have a mix of BenQ and Newline interactive TVs, with each having it's own wireless casting solution (Instashare 2 and Newline Cast respectively). We use Windows laptops and while we can just push both apps, I'd like to have just one universal one to make everyone's life easier, regardless of which TV they're using. The TVs are all Android and we utilise the online management of them. The Newlines can easily install apps via the Play Store, though I believe the BenQs will need an APK pushing. Casting is something I've never even experimented with, aside from casting my phone to my TV at home a handful of times. Does anyone have any recommendations, ideally free universal app-based solution?
9. I've had a ticket through from one of our teacher's that the "View online" option when you right click a OneDrive/SharePoint synced file in File Explorer is missing. This appears to be exclusively an issue since we migrated to Windows 11. The main solutions I'm finding are either reinstall OneDrive, check if the app is running in elevated mode and make some secpol changes. I've tried those and I still don't have the option appearing and I'm kind of at a loss at the moment. Has anyone else experienced this? Edit 1: I have replicated this on a spare Windows 11 laptop, where our test staff account that has synced a specific SharePoint site is missing the OneDrive context menu in the new right click (and manage access/view online/view history in the old/show more options context menu), whereas if I log on as an admin account and sync the same SharePoint site, all the context menus are there. This makes me think it's a configuration issue somewhere, most likely a user setting, but I'm not sure where to start. Edit 2: So far I've removed both the test user and device out of their OUs and put them in an OU that has no policies assigned and the same behaviour exists. I've also used the command "C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\OneDrive.exe /reset", which also didn't fix the issue. Edit 3: With the user and device back in their normal OUs and GPs applied, I've manually uninstalled OneDrive from the machine, downloaded OneDrive for Business and installed that - the OneDrive context menu is now there with the option to view online. I now have three questions; OneDrive and OneDrive for Business used to be two different apps - is that still the case? Is that the correct version of OneDrive to reinstall with? I want to automate this where possible, so I'd probably want to use SCCM - Am I right in thinking that I can just create an app using the downloaded setup file with automated switches and have the install command remove the existing version first?
10. I've used a specific sweet/candy-themed tool in the past that would be able to provide the product key from within Windows, but only if it was committed to the BIOS. It's been many years since I've used it and I cannot speak for it's reputation/safety, so use it at your own risk I guess.
11. We've had co-management enabled for SCCM and Intune for a long time now and it's all been fine. We're now shifting some workloads over to Intune and I've noticed that almost all of our on-site AD joined devices that appear in Intune are showing with primary users assigned. To cut a long story short, we had a lot of issues with DFE laptops being assigned primary users when it came to reconfiguring and reissuing them to other users, with converting them to shared devices fixing the issue. While I can convert all of these devices to shared devices manually, how do I prevent future co-managed/on-site devices registering into Intune with primary users? It appears to be related to Auto Enrollment and the MDM settings, by setting it to None...but I want to be sure that's right before changing a global setting.
12. Software Center cannot show Intune deployments, whereas Company Portal will show deployments from both Intune and MECM. I've just figured that out from configuring it myself and from various videos and tutorials.
13. I've double checked and we are still on Wonde Basic, as the banner at the top of the page after I log in states.

This could be a wider Microsoft related issue as we've seen issues with our other Microsoft hosted solutions, including Outlook and our admin portal.
15. We've received an invoice for Wonde's Reading Cloud as normal but noticed that they've sneakily added the £360 for the premium service, despite only using their basic service. Just be wary when paying Wonde invoices for their other services.
16. That wasn't the case for me, my badge just says "Mr CHiLL" on one line and "Staff" on the next line, along with a headshot and the school name and some other blurb and mine was accepted.
17. I'm not sure, we don't list staff on our website. On the application page, select Teacher from the drop down list of job types and the button will grey out. Right click and inspect the button. If you can't see the section, you may want to expand the section that contains:
18. I submitted my application yesterday before leaving work (with thanks to @liamrobinson's tip) and it was approved this morning. I'm in a secondary school, though we do still have a .sch.uk domain and the only ID I provided was a photo of my staff badge (includes title, surname, school name and photo).
19. I gave up and went back to using user-driven enrollment, with the only caveat that you should remove the primary user from the device in Intune once it's set up. That allows it to enter shared device mode and will then work as expected.
20. It appears that this was caused due to an Orchestration Group, which was being used and I didn't realise. Assets and Compliance > Orchestration Groups. There was a group created which has apparently evolved from the Server Groups feature. This orchestration group has it's own timeout settings on the General tab, which were set to 60 minutes for individual servers and 120 minutes for the whole group by default for me. Since these timeout settings aren't linked to the SUP timeout settings, it meant that this time period was shorter than the time the updates needed to install. I've set those to 180 minutes for one server and 360 minutes for the group. By default, it should honour the existing maintenance windows. Once I configured those times in the orchestration group, the updates started installing over the next couple of hours.
21. Every user *should* have a P1 license if you want to comply with Microsoft's licensing terms. Do what you will with that information.
22. Our 3CX hosting provider, PBX Hosting have confirmed that they use Microsoft's SMTP servers to deliver voicemails notifications, which is affected by this outage. We learned about this because parents received absence messages about their child, despite ringing in and leaving a voicemail, only for our attendance staff not to know.
23. I've created a collection in SCCM of all workstations that do not meet TPM 1.2 or have secure boot enabled and I'm making my way round, slowly but surely and enabling them. I want to get to a point where I can have a high-level policy that applies the same BitLocker rules to all clients, then it's a case of set and forget. I haven't considered servers yet, I know I can use BitLocker on the Windows servers, VMware offers VM encryption and I think the HP iLO also offers encryption.
24. I have two questions regarding deploying apps via Intune (which we've been doing for years). 1) Is ASM limited to the UK app store? I've been asked to install "Socratic by Google" (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/socratic-by-google/id1014164514) onto our IT/Computing iPads, however I cannot find it in ASM. If I look for the app in Intune, I cannot find it in the UK store list, but I can find it in the US store list. 2) What is the best way to deploy apps when it comes to ASM and Intune? We've always "purchased" the app (even the free ones) from ASM and waited for them to sync to Intune, the deploy the "iOS volume purchase program app" app. However, we can also manually search for the app in Intune and deploy it as an "iOS store app". We think we've had issues with the latter before, especially with constant sign in prompts, however that was years ago and we can't remember that far back.
25. There isn't a requirement for encryption specifically, but GDPR dictates that data must be secure. This means that you have to consider scenarios where sensitive data could be accessed, which includes (but not limited to) lost/stolen portable drives/laptops, physical theft of server equipment or unauthorised data access on-site/remote. You can't use the argument that there's no specific requirement to use encryption, because it is the school's responsibility to ensure that the data cannot be accessed by unauthorised persons. That's why you should be using encryption and BitLocker happens to be included within Windows for free (management tools may require extra licensing).
