Got a 580 Smartboard that once you have orientated it, its okay round the edges of the board, but the closer you go to the middle the worse it gets (ie appears to be out of orientation) and yet away from the middle and back towards the edge and its fine. I seem to recall hearing of this problem in the past but can't recall how it was fixed, can anyone else? And yes before anyone asks I am running the latest 9.x version. Thanks

Same here, claimed 7 or 8 times, no problems:D

Why is it such a sh*t life being an egg? You only get laid once, smashed once and the only bird that sits on your face is your mum

Anyone in the Northants area that use Eclispe .net?
Paul_L replied to Kitkatninja's topic in Educational Software
My wife (a school librarian) says she had/has a similar problem and found that it’s because of the calendar, apparently Eclipse.net every once in a while completely clears all her calendar settings and she has to go back in and set up all her weekends / bank holidays and school holidays. Hope this helps -
Anyone in the Northants area that use Eclispe .net?
Paul_L replied to Kitkatninja's topic in Educational Software
My Wife is head librarian at one of our local secondary schools and upgraded to Eclipse.net about 6 months ago having used Eclipse 2 and thinking that was great. Since upgrading it has been an absolute nightmare!!!!!! Data input is the biggest issue, when cataloguing it takes anything up to 2 minutes from the point you click submit before it then allows any further action and when you get a new book order in it takes days! As to the customer support, she has always said it was really good, but now I think they are getting as fed up as she is! Not sure if this helps, sorry! PS. She would go back to Eclipse 2 without an hesitation! -
Sorry to say, but defiantly not I can take you and show you the classroom it's in!

I will endorse what most people are saying, one of my schools use it and think it's great

just gone back to the lancs forum and it's up again along with the schools websites I couldn't connect to earlier Will wait for an update.
-
Oaky, expect the last time I checked the lancs forum was down, hence my post here
-
Would appear that the lancsngfl mysql servers are down, can anyone update?

Sorry, Zerohour still got the same problem this morning
-
Still same error again this morning I'm afraid, its always on first attempt in a morning, next time i try all is well, strange!
-
Sorry, but I am now getting this error first thing every morning when I come onto the site, if I go direct to the forums its okay, otherwise I get the 'Zero sized reply' Paul

Pringes, the best fire lighters in the world! Some years ago I throw some stale pringes onto a camp fire, I have never seen anything brust into flames so quickly before in my life, the fat content must be hideous. needless to say I haven't eaten pringes since!

Yes I had the same, my credit card wasn't good enough and they wanted all types of extra documentation! As far as I'm aware even though it's a dot co dot uk address the company is French!

Had the same thing with a Mobile Phone, on-line retailer showed mobile in stock, so I ordered it for next day delivery, 3 weeks later still not turned up, website still shows in stock and available for next day delivery, but .... contacted by customer service told not in stock and have no idea when stock will be available! O! and the website still shows it's in stock for next day delivery! :x

thanks for that Geoff, but I have read........ that the DVI conection doesn't give any better picture quality at the end of the day, beacuse most TV's are analog so the DVI input (digital) has to be converted
-
@ Geoff, can I just confirm that you are saying: The Best is HDMI (which I don't have) followed then by Component (which I do have but.....) followed then by DVI etc. etc. Okay the but, although my Plasma has a componet in, my graphics card doesn't have a component out, but I know i can get adaptors to convert, so if I did use the component in on the Plasma which would I take it out from on the graphics card, the DVI, S-video or VGA!
-
On a similar subject! I am just about to build a media centre PC and can't decide how to connect it to my Plasma TV. I'm looking for the best possible picture quality and have the choice of the following connections: VGA S-Video DVI Component Composite Having ‘googled’ it I found a rather long thread that in the end came out with a majority saying VGA. Could I ask what you good people on here think!

Nice one :thumbright: next time I have a damaged board can I send it over to you for repair! Paul
-
I agree with nicholab, you will have to buy another, if it has been damaged it will not be covered by warrenty and will cost £150 - 250 As wesleyw says Steljes are the only distributor in the country and all suppliers have to go to them.
-
This to be honset was the reply I was expecting, anyone else agree with John?

Yes have tired that and all other ideas, it is most definitely the projector
