  1. It's blowing the ring main circuit breaker and no we have no SLA with the LEA for such things
  2. Just a general question! Has anyone tried getting out of warranty projectors repaired? If so where and how much! I guess it may be important to the topic the projector I'm looking to get repaired is an Hitachi. Not wishing to overload this thread, but what are peoples veiws on repair, is it cost effective? Paul
  3. What are the odds on this?
  4. Didn't record it all but it's along the lines of 'The Register cannot load the Hive'..... and something about software!! Sorry does that help? Paul
  5. Wonder if anyone could offer any advice here! HP ML110 Server Configured with 2 250 maxtor SATA drives in a Hardware RAID mirror Server failed, no bootable OS! Go into RIAD set-up, shows one failed HDD and one member HDD, selecting create array says ‘Status Rebuild’ – Bootable ‘YES’ Message then says Rebuild will occur during OS operation. Go to reboot and …….. Won’t boot, just get BSOD after 2 minutes So…. Replaced failed drive, now says 2 member HDD, Status ‘Rebuild’ Bootable ‘YES’ Reboot and same again, server fails to boot and you get BSOD Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Could it be the RAID controller on the motherboard? thanks in advance Paul
  6. Not sure that all is well! have just tried the Lancsngfl tec forum (Wednesday 9.00) and it appears to be down, or is this a separate issue? Paul

  9. Sorry Dan, but how can these be perfect for kitting out an IT suite when they come with MS XP Home on them? Paul
  10. Not sure if this is quite the answer to your problem, but I have found when I have this problem of the projected image being 'cut off' its that the computer res has been changed and needs to go back to 800 x 600 Have you tried chaning the res? Paul
  11. recently reconfigured 30 dell laptops (put them on a domain and setup gpo’s etc.), which all connect via a wireless connection. When a user logs on to the domain the sequence of events appears to be, log on – user name / password all okay, loads profile redirected desktop momentarily appears, drops wireless connection, redirected desktop disappears, re-establishes wireless connection, does not re load redirected desktop. I’m not using the dell wireless configuration, I’m letting windows handle the wireless connection. The only way to get the desktop back is to ‘refresh’ – which works every time! Although it doesn’t stop the laptops being used it’s just annoying! Can anyone suggest the likely cause – am I missing something? Paul
  12. I have noticed that under 'user info' we have today at this moment (Wed 12 sept 9:12) 162 vistors on the site, of which 5 seem to indicate that they are in my account, anyone else noticed? Paul
  13. Sorry to say but my understanding is that a vast number of projector manufactures only offer a 3 month bulb warrenty! Even if you buy a replacement it still only comes with a 3 month warrenty, Epson (not that I am defending them) are only doing what most other people are doing. Paul
  14. Just had a very same thing with the Epson D66, had to contact Epson in the end. You have to tell the Epson monitor that you have shared the printer!!! Have'nt got the info to hand but it's something like.. Printer Properties / General / printing prefrences / maintenance / speed and progress / then you should see a check box saying monitor for shared printers This is on the local computer of course. Hope you find it if not let me know and I will get the info again. regards Paul
