  1. Odd, still can't find a reason for this - we can't open properly any previously generated reports in Linked Documents as grades are missing from the tables. I'm not sure whether this is W10 or Word 2016 causing issue so I'll have to roll a couple back.
  2. It's funny in some cases I think some of the staff feel they had the interactive whiteboards forced on them so they had to use them, when really a projector and dry wipe board would have suited them better.
  3. Yeah tried this but seems to loop back, restarting to the lock screen message. I'm going to try the USB lan trick when I've got all the right cables!
  4. I can see where you coming from there, some staff are a bit apathetic about them, some absolutely love them!
  5. We have SIMS and use Classcharts, which baffles me as we're already paying for SIMS which offers all we need!
  6. We've got quite a few old Smartboards, they still work but since Windows 7 the drivers have been a bit flakey and calibration is always an issue. Obviously replacement is the next stage but with interactive panels around 3 grand each its a major project, and tight budgets have pretty much killed that. So I'm curious to know what you folks are doing, continuing to run old board, replacing them slowly with interactive panels, replacing them with newer 'standard' interactive whiteboards or even just removing them altogether? In the ideal world we'd whack up shiny new touch screen panels and I'm sure the teachers would love them, but that would be way over £100K to do all of them!
  7. Surely not...aren't ipads the ultimate teaching device....
  8. That's what I've tried, I'm wondering if there's a fault and the Lost Mode is just something else to deal with! This ipad may be destined for the bin....
  9. Hmm, mine won't go into recovery mode!
  10. Nope, once locked like this you can't even use AC2 to re-prepare it, or erase it and start again.
  11. Hmm I'll have to see if I can find those adapters - never thought that would work to be honest as ipads are 100% wifi, which makes me wonder how meraki thought lost mode would actually work in reality!
  12. We have Lost Mode enabled on an iPad that had gone missing - when it turned up it went into lost mode. I disabled lost mode through the console but it just says Pending and the ipad is now useless So that's a dead ipad - warning to anyone using meraki, never let any device go into lost mode unless you 100% sure its gone for good!
  13. On our new W10/office 2016 Pro PCs, the Linked Documents (from several years past!) are opening as blank files - well, not blank as they show the template format etc but the grades and comments aren't showing? After a small panic attack we realised the files open fine in W7/Office 2013 so it seems to be just our latest W10 imaged PCs - question is, whats causing it? Word 2016 is the default program to open the xml files. I'm hoping we don't need to revert back to Office 2013!
  14. Installed September 2017 CU and it still does it - its looking like CSM might be the culprit after all. Much as I like CSM and admire the work done on it, I'm still annoyed that MS have released such a kak handed OS that I've almost been forced to use a third party tool to get a consistent and usable Start Menu.
  15. Argh, my wsus server had thrown a wobbly! I t hadn't synch'd for a couple of days so I'm running it now to check.
  16. So we have to install a 1gb+ update on the affected PCs! I would have thought the seperate update would have been deployed by WSUS by now?
  17. We've had to roll back to W7 on a couple of PCs as W10 is hanging on the start menu, or explorer crashes so much the users are complaining several times a day. Utterly sick of W10 and its problems now.
  18. I've set the file explorer option in preferences so I'll how that goes over the next few days. Its very frustrating, we've spent ages testing and tweaking 10 and rolling it out just seems to have been a nightmare. Of course, plenty of staff have commented that W10 works fine 'at home'.....
  19. Its a whole set of W10 PCs, the only thing that changed is the printer, and therefore the driver. We're finding W10 so unreliable at installing printers that we're going to have to find another way that doesn't use GPOs or GPPs
  20. Deploying a newly bought printer (Hp M552) with 1703 using GPP and all I get is "Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070705 The printer driver is unknown" Both x86 and x64 drivers are on the server, so I'm stuck - I can't return the printer just because W10 printing is a shambolic hit and miss affair. Has anyone scripted the install of printer drivers for W10? This is only way I can see around this, as its obviously going to happen more and more.
  21. We're now getting this on a wide range of PCs, very annoying. I knew I should have stayed with W7!
  22. We're getting this on vanilla 10 with or without classic start. It happened on first testing when 10 came out and seems worse/more regular with 1703. Why can't MS bring out a decent OS anymore?
  23. Ahh thanks, I think the problem is the login we were given isn't showing all of the options in that 24 section. I'll have to find the what the default full admin login is! I've the Pro software which is a bit better but still doesn't show as many options as your screenshot!
  24. Cheers I would appreciate a screen shot as I can't see anything like that on our extension configuration!
  25. Bit of a long shot this, we have an NEC SV9100 system and we've just moved one extension to another (swapped around) - one had a DDI and voicemail active on it. After the move, both extensions work as normal, the DDI reaches the correct extension and so on, but it never goes to voicemail anymore, no matter how long you ring for. The voicemail appears to be configured on that extension still (same PIN code etc) so I'm not sure why its not longer going to voicemail, anyone got any experience of this system?
