Outage 15th April 2016
linkazoid replied to speckytecky's topic in South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL)
A section of JANET was being attacked yesterday and was causing us issues on LGfL but seems ok here. The twitter feed has info and seems to be under attack again. -
You could always use GPP to set the default for the filetype. Unless you want the user to decide.

We have a number of cunninghams touchscreen POS tills that we no longer need. They are free for collection only. We are based in East London. I will only be saving them for a short while so first to arrange collection can have them before they are recycled.

[wds] Unattend - still asking for language

Pretty sure it's just the UILanguage you need to change. -

Has anyone applied the SIMS 2016 Spring Release yet?

Latest SIMS update on bug mentioned on the other thread. -
Working fine here now, using Windows 8.1 Thank you for developing this!
-
Yeah, just the wording. Either Saved Successfully or something more grammatically correct. Disabling the bar seems like the most logical solution

Pearson Test Player - Auto discovery stopped working
linkazoid replied to Theldron's topic in Educational Software
I configured one client to point to the correct invigilator, then copied the files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\TdpClientData\ to a network share, configured a GPO to push these out to clients. Bingo works great! -
Looks good here! Thanks. Just two things... The notice when saving says "Save Successfully" seems a little odd.. If you have the colour picker open and click New, you are unable to do anything... Seems like a popup opens behind which you can't see or click.
-
Yeah, you should be good to go. Just make a copy of the folder your overwriting just in case.
-
OK, etilqs is sqlite backwards and seemed to be related to me having Chrome open. I have cleaned my temp folder and restarted my machine and it seems to no longer complain about the error on startup and runs full screen. Clicking save seems to do nothing as others have mentioned.
-
No, i've just replaced my actual one with username.
-
thanks for the quick update, still not full screening here. and now a different error on startup. Make a backup copy of the central store PolicyDefinitions and copy them from C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\ The timestamps show 2009 so haven't been changed for a while. If you installed the ADMX msi today then timestamps in C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions should be much newer.
-
Well, that looks like the central store is working correctly. Don't copy anything yet. What policies are you looking for that you know are missing?

On a DC, check the SYSVOL folder possibly (C:\Windows\SYSVOL\domain\Policies) and find PolicyDefinitions. If this is empty, then there is your issue. You can possibly copy them from C:\PolicyDefinitions\
-
I also get the AppData path issues. It also doesn't seem to enlarge to full screen. Using 8.1 Enterprise.

What does it say after ADMX files (...) Are you using the ADMX central store?
-
We have loads, can sort them out for you. PM if needed.
