About ste78564

  1. managed to find the issue it wouldn't open from my downloads or documents folder but works fine from the network share which is bizarre like i said previous version works no problem at all from my downloads or documents folder. i can now test it and adjust the json file now it works from the network share location... *Baffled*
  2. i downloaded the zip folder and just tried to run it from there after extracting as i usually do i did make changes to json file so re-downloaded it and left everything as default but still cannot open
  3. just downloaded to test latest version and cannot open EWP "ExamWritePad has stopped working" previous version works ok (v22.05.11.1525). Thought it was due to my changes made to the json file but also get same error using unedited original json file.... 4. may sound strange but we have some laptops and if the staff members double tap the mousepad it disables it (a small orange led light appears on the top left of the mousepad) if you double tap the mouse pad again it enables it again. i cant remember if you had to double tap at the top left of the mousepad or anywhere but the tiny orange led should enable you to see if the mousepad is enabled orange led lit was disabled and unlit led enabled.
  5. i have just opened the program up on our systems and it is now working again with the fixes you've done thankyou very much
  6. adding students read and write access to windows - temp folder makes EWP work again...

  8. ExamWritePad 4530 same user opens fine - open with any account students and staff and administrator - edited and default config ExamWritePad 4650 - same user EWP refuses to open - opens as administrator but not student or staff accounts - edited and default config ExamWritePad 4700 - same user EWP refuses to open - opens opens as administrator but not student or staff accounts - default only config all tests are carried out on the same computer
  9. to help with the issues hopefully: ExamWritePad 4530 same user opens fine - open with any account students and staff and administrator ExamWritePad 4650 - same user EWP refuses to open - opens as administrator but not student or staff accounts ExamWritePad 4700 - same user EWP refuses to open - opens opens as administrator but not student or staff accounts all tests are carried out on the same computer

Faulting application name: ExamWritePad.exe, version: 4.6.5.0, time stamp: 0x60946911 Faulting module name: clr.dll, version: 4.8.4250.0, time stamp: 0x5f2a059c Exception code: 0xc00000fd Fault offset: 0x00000000001bdb00 Faulting process id: 0x740 Faulting application start time: 0x01d751709c63a8fb Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\ExamWritePad\ExamWritePad.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\cl r.dll Report Id: 5d5228c2-39e0-49f8-a764-42b5c919c682 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: error after thinking we had fixed it
  13. im 99% sure it was a windows update that caused our issue think it messed the KernalBase.dll file up in windows and re-installing Microsoft® Visual C++ 2013 Runtime (x64) 12.0.40.664 fixed it
  14. we have been running the latest versions of EWP no problems all i did was run windows update and made sure the system was fully upto date then just thought i would test EWP and it refused to open. After the response about installing Microsoft® Visual C++ 2013 Runtime (x64) 12.0.40.664 i did that and it worked again no fresh install only windows update caused the issue for us but were backup and running now with EWP
  15. thank you very much after installing Microsoft® Visual C++ 2013 Runtime (x64) 12.0.40.664 EWP now up and running again like i said we had been using EWP latest version fine before the windows update after installing Microsoft® Visual C++ 2013 Runtime (x64) 12.0.40.664 now works again Thanks for the fix
