managed to find the issue it wouldn't open from my downloads or documents folder but works fine from the network share which is bizarre like i said previous version works no problem at all from my downloads or documents folder. i can now test it and adjust the json file now it works from the network share location... *Baffled*

i downloaded the zip folder and just tried to run it from there after extracting as i usually do i did make changes to json file so re-downloaded it and left everything as default but still cannot open

just downloaded to test latest version and cannot open EWP "ExamWritePad has stopped working" previous version works ok (v22.05.11.1525). Thought it was due to my changes made to the json file but also get same error using unedited original json file.... may sound strange but we have some laptops and if the staff members double tap the mousepad it disables it (a small orange led light appears on the top left of the mousepad) if you double tap the mouse pad again it enables it again. i cant remember if you had to double tap at the top left of the mousepad or anywhere but the tiny orange led should enable you to see if the mousepad is enabled orange led lit was disabled and unlit led enabled.

i have just opened the program up on our systems and it is now working again with the fixes you've done thankyou very much

adding students read and write access to windows - temp folder makes EWP work again...

it seems something is trying to write to c: from version 4530 as we can run that version with any accounts and version from this only works when we log in a an administrator on the same machine

im 99% sure it was a windows update that caused our issue think it messed the KernalBase.dll file up in windows and re-installing Microsoft® Visual C++ 2013 Runtime (x64) 12.0.40.664 fixed it

we have been running the latest versions of EWP no problems all i did was run windows update and made sure the system was fully upto date then just thought i would test EWP and it refused to open. After the response about installing Microsoft® Visual C++ 2013 Runtime (x64) 12.0.40.664 i did that and it worked again no fresh install only windows update caused the issue for us but were backup and running now with EWP

Hi, We have been using EWP without issues but i have just updated our machines and now EWP no longer opens up at all. I have looked in event viewer end hopefully you can see the errors where experiencing all we have done it run windows updates since it last worked perfectly.. Any ideas why updating windows has killed EWP Sorry

We had an NEC flicker due to the filter not been cleaned and clogged with dust so could of been over heating. Once both filters (the hidden clogged up filter) on the projector had been cleaned the flickering stopped.

i have just gone to print an exam write pad file never had issues before but version 2.5.0 wont let me print unless i enter the centre name which is a greyed out box. i have set the centre name in the config file but doesnt fill the centre nanme on previousely created versions. i cannot print the files out unless i copy and paste the text into a new ewp file which will then pickup the centre name and allow me to print. I dont need the centre name really as previous versions let me print without the centre name in. Attached images hopefully explain issue. Thanks Ste

We can create 2 of the same program/shortcut we have managed to put file explorer in both the root of startmenu and also leave it in Windows System. The old way of anything added into the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder just no longer seems to be applying to everyone as it did in Windows 7. We have created the 2 testing folders and added a program into each folder but none appear in any startmenu

Hi, We are testing LTSB 2016 and when i have added folders and links into the start menu location C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs these are not showing in other users who log on both new users or previous users. I have tried adding links to programs to: C:\Users\Default C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs but the new entries will not show up in the start menu. Mainly trying to get Internet Explorer to show in the root of the start menu but also created "Testing 1" and "Testing 2" folders but again these do not appear in the menu Anyone any ideas where the start menu could be populating from any other location? We are having the exact same issue. We've deployed LTSB 2015 and finding a couple of machines just stays on the black screen after the user has entered their login details.

Hi, Has anybody else got problems with their Hotmail emails? All of a sudden since last night I’m receiving a large amount of spam, advertising and junk emails in my inbox. Normally i get the odd one or two a day but since this morning I’ve received over 80 and every time i check another one has appeared. Steve

i want the machines to join the domain though with the name i enter in the computer name box which it does. Im not sure at what stage its adding the DomainAdmins accounts on the upload or the download process.

Does anyone know the reason why wds could be adding computers to AD? Seems to have created DomainAdmins1, DomainAdmins2 and so on. Currently testing an upload image to see if it creates another computer after disabling the currently created accounts... Also going to try downaload an image to try find out what is creating these computers Many Thanks
