No if you are part of a government funded school NOT PRIVATE you can be eligible the ac.uk is more for the university discount which is higher. Phone up and ask to double check I believe they usually ask for a scan of your photo id etc if its not a university discount.
-
LOL here you go Adobe academic discount Just read the eligibility to see if you fall into the category and away you go. But do you see what I mean you didn't know about that as maybe others didn't either so get posting people! lol

Misco are also an apple reseller out of stock i believe but you can always drop them an email to find out. Misco Maybe ebuyer also? ebuyer If i think of anymore I will post it.

I guess most of us know about the 80% adobe discounts for staff and students in education as well as some form of discount from apple as well. For personal use. Aswell as membership to costco i believe if you are employed by the local council etc. I just thought it might be a nice idea to find out what benefits we are eligible for and maybe get them posted on this thread of other discounts that we could be applicable for that no one really knows about for personal use. Im sure theres more than just that for us?? As Richard O'Brian Famously said in the crystal maze.... LET THE FANS BEGIN!

You can try Squaregroup They took computer warehouse over a year or so ago and they are an Apple Premium reseller and have an education sales sector. Only thing is looking about the place I think ipads are pretty scarce in stock.

Does your budget include software etc or is it solely just the machine?

All I can say is what a really great community and i am happy to be a member of it. Been a geek all my life (Only way to be in my opinion lol) into your typical geekiness, sci-fi, xbox, comics, movie trading cards the list goes on :| Getting into my photography and I love dabbling in Photoshop and what not. Didn't realise this thread was here (Cue sheepish emote) so I thought best get it posted and say hi lol i know its late.

Just came across this at misco Misco Canon Powershot looks ok? -
Hi Peeps! Looking to purchase four digital cameras for school to be given to four year groups. Got a budget of £400 for this. Would need HD recording and the 400 will cover memory cards and if its a AA battery camera a charger also if need be for each camera. Look forward to hear your suggestions.

Some shows are meant to be canned like the new Knight Rider series which would have been good but they messed it up. I was a bit sad when they canned flash forward I was enjoying that. Sliders was awesome!

Just be wary of that SD card now when using it again it may have been more of a fault to do with the card than the camera but all in all just to be on the safe side purchase a new SD card to be safe. If you haven't maybe check to see if theres a firmware update for the camera in question too might be some fixes for that model. Glad you got your pictures back.

LOL the blunders of big companies

I use virtual box on my macbook running windows xp on it in seamless mode works like a charm. . Not cool though about Lloyds stating that it only works with internet explorer only. More and more people are getting on the Mac side with no idea about virtualisation or how to go about it they should look into changing there stance on that but i guess a lot of people have to kick up a fuss about it to make an impact for any big company to do anything about it.
