As does Kali, boot up into forensics mode of which you get the choice when you boot from DVD, and the OS will not even talk to the hard disk as it's in forensics mode and this also send all your traffic encrypted over the Internet. No commands needed

The best thing you can do now you've been introduced to RM is.... Rip it all out and go Vanilla... Migrate everything to Vanilla. To be fair... RM CC products do have their place. But for the majority... It's not needed and expensive.

This sounds like a definite wheel bearing problem.... Get it sorted before it gets worse... and louder... Don't do a wheel bearing yourself if you aren't sure.... very labour intensive and you need the right tools such as a press to actually remove the bearings. Clio, shouldn't take too long.... but still quite a heavy job.... should cost around 60-80 quid.

BUT you can convert that machine running in Workstation to an ESXI Vsphere server, back it up from there.

You are selecting a boot menu on boot up - and chosing the Optical disk drive... right ? Or go into BIOS and change boot options to boot from CD first.

I'd rather just use Kali or BackTrack... built on Debian anyway and includes anonymity if you want it... but includes a whole raft of Forensic tools http://www.kali.org/

Nope only services i tried where XRDP... got it working in the end but it was easier on 6.5

I've already been playing with it.. I had a test server running 6.5, I fresh installed 7... Seems a few of the packages I usually use like 'rdekstop' and 'xrdp' have been removed completely and have been replaced by 'freedesktop'. I dont want freedesktop so I'll stick with 6.5 until the repos have been updated to include some of the packages.

If I pop the hood and pull the accelerator it hisses just for a like a milli-second as the revs climb. I think its actually supposed to do it from reading on forums.. it's taking a breath lol

Thanks @arwen I do usually use it for the 2-3 mile journey to work everyday... However I've done over 400 mile in it since I got it a month ago.. 200 miles as we went up North to visit family.. 60 Mile trip yesterday, Been to Bird etc so it's done some mileage. When I bought the car it was running on fumes, Just as I pulled into the filling station it started coughing. So got there just in time. Since I've owned it I've lot let it get below a quarter of a tank... And never would. I will try banging some redex through it see if that clears out any muck in the injectors.

Aye too right, MOT is due October... It's going in for a service and an all round check before it gets booked in... HOPEFULLY it wont fail. There's no rot or rust so I do hold a bit of hope lol

Nope no engine lights at all.. Something a bit weird did happen the other day. Filled up, and halfway home the speedo dropped to 0 for about 2 seconds then went back up to the speed I was doing.

Engine isnt running poorly per se... Company car makes the same noise so I think it's just air intake.
