Hello, I'm trying to stack (VSF) 2 x Aruba 2930F switches using front SFP ports and DAC cables. Can someone please advise on the process, there's is a lot of different advice on net. I am thinking: Run this on switch 1: vsf member 1 priority 200 vsf member 1 link 1 25 vsf member 1 link 1 26 vsf enable domain 1 Switch 1 reboots, connect the cables to switch 2 and run the following on switch 2: vsf member 2 priority 100 vsf member 2 link 1 25 vsf member 2 link 1 26 vsf enable domain 1 - Does that look right? - Can I use 2 cables to stack or is only a single connection supported with 2 switches? - Do I need to run any commands at all on the second stack member or does it auto configure the ports once connected to the first configured stack member?

OK, I have since been advised to not use the OneDrive built into Office365, but rather install the app per machine with /allusers switch as https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/per-machine-installation. I have then enabled 2 Intune policies 1. Silently sign in users to the OneDrive sync app with their Windows credentials 2. Use OneDrive Files On-Demand ..but opening the OneDrive app nothing happens, the hour glass comes up for a split second, then nothing. Nothing obvious in Smoothwall firewall and it's on a non filtered test VLAN. Any ideas?

Hello, I want to allow students on Intune managed laptops to easily access their OneDrive, I have deployed the 'OneDrive (Groove)' app as part of the Office365 install but not really sure what to do next, I don't want to setup sync folders (do I?) just simply a route into OneDrive? Shortcuts or something? How's it working in other schools? Thanks

Locking down the device is OK, it's a little disheartening to start all over again having spent years perfecting the local AD GPO's. A bit of a mess, but then that's MS. I am also finding some profiles applied to student users, seem to affect whoever logs into the laptops..

Hello, a couple of Intune Qs - should I enable and set password of the local built in administrator account (via PS), if the device is broken, WiFi broken or something I feel I might need it but research says I shouldn’t due to security. - I have set a load of restrictions but can’t crack preventing changing power settings. Students could change sleep to e.g. 1 minute etc which would be annoying. Thanks for any info.

Hello, I have an autopilot profile assigned to an Azure AD group, but when a new device is added to Intune how does it know to run the profile if it’s new and doesn’t exist in the group? Is the only the Answer To use dynamic AAD groups (adding a ‘group tag’ to the autopilot .csv)? Is is possible with assigned groups? Thanks

Can u please elaborate on the retention polices, is this OneDrive polices that can be set above what I think is their 30 days in recycle bin and 100 version limit? So you don’t do any onsite user OneDrive backups? I don’t suppose MS offer a license option that gives 365 day deleted file retention. Thanks

We want to make the move of our user files to OneDrive but I don’t feel the backup Q is answered, we give 1600 users 1TB of space, how do we back that up beyond the 30 day built in OneDrive service? Even just catering for staff, a mega expensive 36TB onsite backup solution is never going to be enough to restore their files. ‘I think I had it before Christmas....’ you know that happens! What to do...?

Hello, we run Papercut MF. We have just started introducing Intune managed Windows laptops, these devices are sometimes onsite on the schools wireless network, and sometimes at home. Users sign in with their school UN/PW in the form [email protected]. I want to allow printing to the schools printers from these devices at least when onsite, when offsite it’s not so important. I am getting confused with what PaperCut solution to use: • print deploy • mobility print • cloud print I’ve tried Print Deploy, there's an Intune deploy option, but it seems to need a load of rules opening to allow the printers installing on clients, SMB, browsing to our servers etc, so Cloud Print seems to be ideal option (at least its name indicates that) but it works on invite links? These laptops are in a loan set, any one of 1500 students could pick it up, invites are not going to work. what solution should we use? Thanks

The Papercut Intune process is nearly there, Print Deploy is set up but there's an error in the log: It is installed as an App on a client from my Intune environment Firewall has been set to allow the Print Deploy ports On the client Print deploy asks for the UN/PW of the logged in person and it shows the 2 deployed printers but these 2 printers fail to install with an error: 2021/03/19 09:46:31 pc-print-deploy-client.exe: STDOUT|Installing local server printer '\\print1.sls.local\Global Queue'... 2021/03/19 09:46:31 pc-print-deploy-client.exe: STDOUT|failed to open printer \\print1.sls.local\Global Queue: The printer name is invalid. 2021/03/19 09:46:31 pc-print-deploy-client.exe: STDOUT|check access to server printer '\\print1.sls.local\Global Queue' failed 2021/03/19 09:46:31 pc-print-deploy-client.exe: STDOUT|Error installing server printer. Hello, we are having some problems with projector remotes being stolen from classrooms and then students doing hilarious things in lessons....the behaviour is one thing, but does anyone use a fixed remote control or secure connected remote control solution? all are projectors are Epson and use the same remote luckily. That’s very strange I tried this many ways, I found dsim /online just hung at startup, there seemed to be a service that it relied on not running at startup, this was quite well documented online. Do you have any other commands running that would explain how you ran this successfully?

I am really struggling to remove a windows update via startup script: wusa /uninstall Desnt support /quiet anymore so hangs waiting for user input DISM.exe /Online /Remove-Package Seems need need a service running before it can work, and this dependant service is not running at startup Running anything at logon runs in user context and the students will not have access to remove updates.. Any ideas please? Thanks

What script did you use? How did u deploy it?

That might work, it’s a shame there’s not a startup option, it takes ages to remove. Did u check your non sccm schools?

that still hangs, I dont think you can run DISM at startup.

DISM.exe /Online doesnt work as startup script. we don't have SCCM.

Hello - does anyone have a PowerShell/command line way of removing these KB500082 and 58 updates at startup? wusa /unintall doesnt work anymore with /quiet so it will hang PowerShell ideas on web involve the dism command which doesn't run at startup... any ideas?

I can imagine this happening if you are in Central and incorrectly change a templates and it propagates everywhere, but how about leaving the switches ‘fully managed’ which I think means they are still managed in Central but without templates? You are limited to the central functionality but it does (I think again) include Vlan, IGMP, STP, DHCP snoop which is all we need. One of our wish list was to be able to see and access all the switches in a single interface. But there’s always caveats eh?
