I don't think you can do that by design. You need to change a GPO if you want to save BitLocker keys onto a mapped drive. User Configuration, Administrative Templates, and Start Menu and Taskbar Remove common program groups from Start Menu That's the option you need to find in your GPO.

Have you ran GP Results for some of the affected users to see if there's a proxy setting hidden inside of one of the GPOs? I've seen this issue when 'Automatically detect proxy settings' isn't ticked too. I've also seen an issue whereby you can load up Edge or IE, then load Chrome and it magically just works.

Does it have some kind of anti exploit technology installed? We only found it happening on a select few models of machines we had too.

You don't by chance have Panda AV installed do you? We found out it was a DCOM module holding on for dear life and crashing the machines on log off.

Thanks Katy, I'm willing to give that a shot today. We have SRP rules in place to prevent running any of the windows utils and commands so hopefully it shouldn't cause any issues (I hope).

Wonder if it works to a mapped drive then... Gonna have to find this out.

How are you guys getting on with this since installing it? We've installed it but users can't seem to get into their OneDrive folder since it's installed onto C:\Users\%username%\Onedrive - Tenant Users are hit with: Any ideas how we can get around with without having to allow access to the C drive at all?

What version of W10? I believe in the latest ADMXs fopr 1809 there's a GPO to disable each part individually now.

Event viewer showing anything? Do you have different GPOs for the suites? Maybe AppLocker or an SRP has kicked in?

The more bizarre part is that I just can't figure out why even the File Explorer icon doesn't appear either. :/

Hi guys, Hoping someone can help me out a little here. Just trying to get a start menu working but for the hell of me, I can't get the Windows File Explorer link to work. I'm using 1809 too if that helps. Code: For whatever reason, the drives and the direct link to the 'File Explorer' come up as the following: Any ideas? :/ Users can view the drives no problem via File Explorer, I just can't get these shortcuts to work.

Glad it's not just us then! What systems are you guys running? I've had a Windows 10 network and a Windows 7 standalone machine suffer today.

Nope, nothing set like that. The GPO is set to prompt the user for a location to save to. It's almost like Chrome isn't talking to Explorer. Totally weird.

Morning guys, Had a weird issue starting to spread around two of our sites with Google Chrome, whereby a user cannot download anything from any webpage. When they click on a link, the browser's refresh button appears to flash and nothing appears to download. Both of the sites have auto update enabled on Chrome and they both have the same AV (Panda) installed. The only quick way I can get the user to download files again is to delete the local appdata folder for Chrome. I haven't as of yet found which folder/file it is causing the issue inside of AppData, but that's on my list today. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions at all? Cheers

I can't replicate the issue when using ActivInspire either, just PowerPoint 2016.

Not yet, Windows 10 tends to install the driver almost straight away. I was going to uninstall our onboard Intel's altogether, although we are using NVidia dual headed cards as our main output anyway.

I have a member of staff with EXACTLY the same issue as you have. I'm currently working on it but it does seem we aren't alone. Here's a thread I found which is pretty recent. We've seen it quite a bit now and it's becoming a massive pain in the butt. The thing is though, users can't even get into the CP to actually enable it so I was working if there was a shortcut key or similar to swap them. One of our teachers claims it happens when they lock their machine, then return to a swapped button config. Odd.

Have any of you experienced a random swap in mouse buttons at all? We've had a good few of our staff noticing that the mouse buttons swap over at random times during the day. To combat it, I've added a registry entry into a GPO to update a flag entry each time. When it happens staff then log off and back on again to have the fix take effect. What I can't understand though is how it's actually happening in the first place. Any ideas?
