Tip sheet would be excellent thanks Ben. Most of my experience is on 2003, but we recently upgraded our entire server infrastructure to 2008R2 on VMWare ESXI servers. I must say, I really like Server 2008R2.

Thanks Ben. I am halfway through the 70-640 training book. Do you think there will be much more to learn for the R2 exam? I don't want to fork out for another book just for a couple of questions! I know someone who is just starting MCSE now. He tells me it's still better to do that now, rather than MCITP. I thought MCSE was on old technology (2003), so opted for MCITP. What's your thoughts on that?

Hi guys, What are your thoughts on the MCITP certifications? I have recently passed MCITP:EDST, and I am currently working towards the MCITP:SA. I have been working in the IT industry for 10 years, including the last 6 years as a Network Manager. Every job I look at is looking for MCSE/MCSA. I guess this is probably because a large percentage of people are still running 2003 servers. Cheers for any input.

It happens to all users. The error occurs whether you use Outlook 2003, 2007 or 2010. It only occurs on PCs that were once connected to the old exchange server using richprofile. All clean builds don't have an issue. Many thanks

Hi Sukh, It also happens with Outlook 2007. We used to use Richprofile, which would configure the mail accounts. Now we use Exchange 2010 and Richprofile is incompatible. When you open Outlook, you get the attached error: If you delete the key in the registry, it resets the profile and Outlook 2007 configures itself for the new Exchange Server when you launch the application. That didn't work, but I don't think it's far off. I'm not totally sure what the path should be to delete the right key. I know which folder it's in (as above), but I'm not sure how to identify the logged on user. I've tried %username% and %LogonUser%. Thanks for your help.

It could well be possible. I'll have to look into it. It's probably the duff Sims software by Capita that is causing the error with XML, it's so buggy! Anyway, do you know of a way I can delete the registry key above? The more pressing issue is with Outlook. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

The reg key I have created to delete the outlook profile is this: REGEDIT4 -HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\[LogonUser] I just can't get it to work for the user that is logged on! I've also tried it with %username%

We have a license for Office 2010. We have users here that use many advanced features of Office, including editing xml files to be imported using other software. When they try to open certain files, they get the error 'This file is corrupt'. It only happens on 2010, not on 2003 or 2007sp2.

Thanks for that. I've been playing around with Office 2010, as we're fully licensed for it. I think it is a bit unstable so I'm starting to roll out Office 2007. I'll look into altering the registry and repost my results. Many thanks.

Hi guys, I have an issue with rolling out Exchange 2010 mailboxes to Outlook 2003. Beforehand, we used Richprofile, which worked a treat. The latest version doesn't work with Exchange 2010. The main problem I'm having is that the old outlook profiles are needing deleted from the registry, otherwise Outlook won't connect to the exchange server. I think it's stored in the Registry at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\%username%, but not 100% sure. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way in Group policy to delete that registry key? Or will a script do it? I hope I've explained myself ok! Many thanks,

I would never have prestiged in the first place, in my opinion it's just not worth the time. Unfortunately one of my mates prestiged it on my behalf without realising what happens. That's another reason that's putting me off starting again!

I know, you're all right. But have you tried using the Enfield or the M16 after using the Commando!?

I've had 3 xbox 360's in the past and it's true that it never reset my stats. The problem I had was the hardware failing! I got sick of it and opted for PS3.

To add to that, I've been a 'Cod man' since the early versions on the PC. I would hate to pump loads of time into it, just to potentially lose everything again.

Hi guys, So as the title states, I logged into Cod Black Ops PS3 Online over the Christmas holidays to play online multiplayer, A message popped up on the screen telling me that all of my online stats had been reset. I was on 2nd prestige, level 49. Starting again at level 1 with no guns did not appeal to me. I had lost over 30 hours of gaming with a KD ratio of 1.40. I checked many forums, and it appears there is nothing I can do but start again. I'm toying with the idea of using one of these hacks to level up, as I feel cheated out of having all guns. Hi Guys, We have an issue at our place. The pupils have exchange 2003 email accounts and have started to use it to chat with friends, rather than do their work. I need them to be able to email staff, but not each other. Have you had any experience of this? What do you do to stop them? Many thanks

I bet there are some full on nerds in the queue! (Me included!) I queued for MW2 at midnight last year, and vowed never to do it again (I'll probably cave in and do it again). At least there are people out there as sad as me!
