  1. In previous years our DT department has made use of Photoview 360 with Solidworks to do the final rendering of projects. The teachers discovered yesterday that Photoview is now deprecated and has apparently been replaced with "Visualize" I'm unsure if this is a feature that should have been installed with the Solidworks package when I made my Admin install. I've had a look and it does appear to be an optional extra, but it asks for a serial number? Is this a separate paid-for add-on? Also, does anyone know if you can just add that component to the already installed machines or will I need to remove it, build a new admin install and roll that out in replacement? Any advice welcome
  2. Anybody out there in the Yorkshire region using Class Charts with Bromcom? We had a demo of Class Charts yesterday to SLT and we'd like to know more from people with experience of how well it works alongside the Bromcom MIS. Also, anybody got any feedback on the software as a whole? Good or bad. Thanks
  3. Great opportunity for any technicians wanting to step up to senior! Previously advertised but didn't appoint https://www.king-james.co.uk/senior-it-technician-2/
  4. Approx 270 kids per year group, showing the full weeks attendance with periods (so approx 30 squares per student given the Form time in the morning). I'll report back if this fixes it
  5. So far, only seen it in Chrome admittedly. I've asked them to try Edge for a day and see what happens
  6. I don't suppose anyone else has seen Out of memory errors coming up recently on Bromcom? Mainly with staff who would work in the attendance management page? We've had at least 2 of our year managers report this happening, the common theme is the attendance management page. The machines are new this Summer and have 16Gb RAM and Ryzen 5 CPU's. Only maybe 3 tabs open in Bromcom but they're getting this multiple times a day. Nobody else in general has been getting this error
  7. This is the one regarding the cover slip report: CAS-361880-F7J2W8
  8. At this moment in time, we are having a million and one problems with Bromcom. Bits are all over the place! I have numerous tickets open. Our Cover Slip report is showing the afternoon periods before the morning ones which is a new glitch :-/
  9. ooooh I see. Sorry I'm unable to help then as I don't know the program
  10. Never used it, how are you deploying it? I assume you've followed this page? https://manual.keyshot.com/manual/installation/silent-install-pc/
  11. Sorry I've been on annual leave so only just coming back to this thread. I can see it's been answered by others but to @dapaulio - we have it in our main image build task sequence in an 'install application' step, right after a reboot step (just to ensure no other installs affect it). We also use the MSI in our install command rather than the .exe but it doesn't appear to have caused any issues. I create the bundle package on Adobe.com with the necessary components and use that download to install everything all in one go. Throughout the year I make use of Impero every now and again to run the RUM (Remote Update Manager) command line tool in bulk on the suite(s) to install the latest patches. I should probably look to schedule the script in MECM at some point.
  12. This is more of an informational post rather than anything else. I make use of an older Hyper-V setup to run a VM that is used to build and capture my machine images each Summer. I've been having a nightmare today with the latest Adobe CC 2024 not installing during deployment, errors such as 0x80070643 or 0x80004005 have been cropping up and I could not figure out why. Nothing had changed on previous years processes. Anyway, after a good amount of digging I discovered that the newest version of some of the apps require the CPU to support the Advanced Vector Extensions v2 (AVX2) instruction set. My old Hyper-V setup didn't have it!! (Thanks CPU-Z) Set up a new build and capture VM on my more recent cluster and it deployed without issue. This is just a change since the 2023 edition so thought it might be useful to someone out there.
  13. Thanks for the links here - very useful. I'm going to go back to them with the info
  14. Would you mind clarifying where you get to the Webadmin logs? SBB have got back to me and, according to a senior engineer, they are unable to give us access to the Webadmin logs? Cheers
  15. Category lookup I do have. I'll request the Webadmin logs now. Cheers
  16. It seems to be working again now after a little email to support I don't have Webadmin Log as an option? Just Request logs
  17. So... it worked first thing when I tried it. Just tested again and it's no longer applying? I've changed nothing and have all the same URL's listed as you've shown above. Doing my head in!
  18. That seems to have worked!!! Thank you @sigma
  19. Looks to be working again this morning. So I'll try these header rules...
  20. Wonderful - whatever SBB are doing to try fixing my Youtube problem, they've managed to remove my permissions to add or edit local lists I've sent them a message
  21. Oooh! Thanks! I'll give that a bash after lunch and see if that sorts it. Greatly appreciated
  22. Doing it via Group Policy would certainly help! Didn't realise they had a policy for that in there. That would sort out my PC's and laptops, but I'm still stuck when it comes to iPads. We have a few used in the library and I'll like to be able to lock those too if I can. I've just had a response from SBB which states:
  23. I've added it to our KS4 filtering group using Local List just for testing purposes and it doesn't appear to do anything. If it picks up, do you expect that filtering to apply across all types of devices i.e. PC's and iPads? I can see boat load of SBB's shared lists but assuming I would add it to a local one? We have ones set for KS3, KS4, KS5, Staff, Administrators, No filtering
  24. Forgive me if this is a duplicate thread (please point me to an existing one if so), but is it still possible to enforce Youtube restricted mode? And if so, how do you do it using Netsweeper? I have followed the guidance here: https://www.netsweeper.com/education-web-filtering/schools-enforce-youtube-restricted-mode Which seems to be the obvious answer. But I've tried it and it doesn't do anything. Schools Broadband say this is what they would expect and that they can't do anything regarding the filtering of videos. But surely we can force restricted mode? We don't use Google Workspace so I can't set it through there, we are a 365 school. Cheers
