Anyway, it's fixed and it has nothing to do with me other than showing what evidence was available at the time so I'll mosey on EDIT: FWIW I can completely believe registrar's are the root cause of this issue and it's nothing personal towards LP+ I was only showing the evidence of what could be causing the outage at the time.

Hi Tony, I didn't say they didn't pay their money I merely showed that the domain DID expire contrary to what Sandip said to disprove what I said. We all know registrars are useless at best and I wasn't making a dig at lpplus themselves just pointing out that the domain being expired would explain why dns lookups failed everywhere.

Probably yes, by default I imagine the document root is set to /var/www and in there you have a moodle directory so you could either move your moodle files into /var/www itself (and update config.php) or reconfigure apache's document root to be /var/www.

Within moodle itself you would edit config.php to include the new url. For your webserver however we'd need to know much more about your set up to assist.

Hope you've got a good back up regime... I'd stick with Debian or Ubuntu LTS versions rather than normal releases as they are supported for longer.

Hi there, I'm not going to stick my nose in as it's not how we do things but I will offer a few pointers up. The usb script there looks like a standard one, the use of USBDRVS tells me this from the kiosk config, would get the version checked to make sure it's the latest. The firmware version should be updated on the Sun Ray as there's been several new versions since the one you're running. (at the same time get the server & other Sun Ray components patched up) There's potentially in addition to USB a couple of things it could be but I wouldn't bother digging into it too much until the box is patched up to current.

Hi, Lots of questions first. 1) What are you running Sun Ray on top of? Solaris/Linux? Which versions? 2) What patch levels are you running for SRSS 4.1 / SRWC 2.1. 3) What firmware are you running on the devices? 4) Has this recently started happening or has it always happened? 5) Try pressing STOP + A to restart the Sun Ray rather than unboxing etc to see if that works. 6) Are you using the windows connector to talk directly to the TS environment or are you using some kind of kiosk script or broker? 7) Does this only ever happen once logged into windows, does it ever happen outside of Windows? 8) Have you tried killing the session from the Sun Ray web admin to see if it comes back? 9) How are you presenting the memory stick to Windows? 10) Have you logged a support call about this? EDIT: I suppose another question if you're thinking it's the Sun keyboard have you tried a non sun keyboard and been able to reproduce it?

You will want to look at the usage on the link at this time and look in the switches for any errors that may be occurring. As you've identified it is only slow in one area it sounds as though you have an over committed link, do you know what speed it is and whether you can increase the available bandwidth by teaming/faster interfaces?

Start with the servers and work your way outwards. Do your servers have internet connectivity? Do they go through the proxy? Try a PC logged on locally with the proxy settings configured and see if you get through (to eliminate any GPO problems).

I'm not entirely sure but I would expect that if every user is getting it on log on it would still be held in the profile itself. I don't have an XP Mandatory Profile near me but have a dig through the profile structure and see if they are listed under the recent folder. Not sure off the top of my head. (TAKE A BACK UP FIRST!)

Can't you just browse to the mandatory profile location and amend the shortcuts in the directory structure for the start menu there?

Profiles on XP won't work on W7 and vice versa, they are v2 profiles. I'd recommend you post a lot more information about the set up otherwise I fear you are going to walk into trouble.
