Instead of nominating specific reporters, why not ask for volunteers to moderate news articles as and when they come in. ie - News articles are not published on the site until approved by a moderator. That way everyone can submit articles, which will lessen the burden on individuals and they get checked for errors and duplication. Just a thought

No to Vista at this time. We are in the process of upgrading memory in our PCs to enable XP to run better. Don't see the point of putting Vista on which offers no real improvement, but is heavier on resources.

That explains a lot about BGFL research techniques Glad to see it's improving!

Time to get the foil hats on and redecorate our homes with foil wallpaper. This could be a nasty one! -
Is this the single status farce under another name or a separate scheme altogether? To me it looks like Schools only. If that's the case, will we be affected by the single status changes at all?

Got some tin foil to wrap around your cage - mildly radioactive Interested?

Yes - Although I can't remember whether it was YouTube or another site. Anyway it took a couple of reports before it was removed. It depends what the video shows - in our case it was girls flashing in a classroom, in Uniform. They were suspended for a week

Let's face it - not many other organisations would make use of the kit we dispose of would they

Funnily enough we are just putting together a list of kit going free to a good home

Did she vent it through her bottom too then?

The School is looking for a new Video Camcorder. Must record to HDD - can't be doing with tapes and disks Preferably a standard usb connection. Budget is £400 maximum I've looked at the Sony DCRSR52E (approx £348), but do any of you budding camramen/women have any other recommendations?

Panarama - not sure it's right spelling When looking for sensible health advice for use of laptops one of the best hast to be.............. remove the 't' This is actually to do with the heat generated by the computer and a number of laptops have the vents on the bottom. Possibly change this to read: This is actually to do with the fact that heat is generated by the laptop and is usually vented through the bottom.

Panorama's "Wireless in schools" Program 8:30 Tonight
alan-d replied to pete's topic in Wireless Networks
The general concensus here seems to be that; Yes - If there is a possibility of a problem then lets have it studied and the findings published by reputable researchers. No - Don't broadcast biased trivia with no real evidence to back up the claims being made. The program last night just had the same effect as me running through a busy shopping centre on a Saturday afternoon shouting 'Fire Fire' because someone lit a match outside! -

Has anyone received any guidelines from their LEA yet on how to respond to parents questions? We haven't just curious to know if anyone has -

DB beat me too it - I was also going to point out that there were a lot of 'Maybe', 'May', 'Similar' 'Almost' and 'We don't know' s in the program. The guy testing the laptop - had 5 or 6 laptops on the desk in front of him connected to the network. Started to download on one laptop - of course no mention that the other laptops on the desk would also be putting out a signal asking if the information was for them or the one he was using. As already stated above - no proper checks of EM output in the general area before the test and everything was measured by eye. Come on people if we are going to scare half the population, at least have some hard facts before we jump to conclusions. Didn't we have a similar outrage about EM output from monitors once? That turned out to be a load of cobblers in the end. Stick to FACTS lets get this tested properly by professionals. OH D-B - You forgot to mention the radioactive material in the compasses and ammunition -
Point out the Data Protection Act for one thing.

USB drive or a mini hard drive. A decent spec PC for graphics work, including software. Post-it notes file covers or something to store paperwork in. printer. cd/dvd writer. just some basics - the list could be never-ending, it depends on your situation.
