In the most part I've got printers deploying consistently using GPP (after a lot of time and reading) but there are still a few PCs where printers simply wont appear unless GPUPDATE /FORCE is run! My gut feeling is that there's something blocking it on the local machine even though the image is the same as many others on the site and it does work for a handful of users, even though I'm unable to find any reference to them in the profile or ntuser file... (users use mandatory profiles) I'm yet to re-image the PC which I'm going to do shortly, if it does work then it's definitely a local machine thing but if not I'm a bit at a loss! has anyone else experienced anything similar? Many thanks

Which is exactly what I'm trying to do but i cant work out how/know if it's possible, hence this thread. OK to elaborate as people don't appear to understand; I want messages sent to me from other users to be placed into a folder titled with their department... i.e. when Sent to 'me' and sender is in 'specified security group' > move to folder x

This is for me - I want to sort requests made by each department into different folders

Hey, Does anyone know of a way of setting sorting emails into folders based on security group using outlook rules (or by some other means). Basically i want all emails from technology staff to go into a technology folder, maths to maths, etc... Cheers

Hi all, I'm attempting to create an internal Ubuntu web server for computing students to mess about uploading website projects to without having to upload to an external host. I've installed Grizzly and LAMP and have got Apache working. What i'd now like to do is create users and folders within the /var/www/ directory and jail users to only this area... this is where i'm having problems! has anyone set this up on their sites? Many thanks
-
I did suspect as much - thanks people
-
Cheers, but is there a way of having it completely invisible to the shared view?
-
Hi All, Does anyone know of a way of hiding private appointments in a shared calendar? My outlook calendar syncs with my phone and I share the calendar with my colleague... Cheers Tim
-
Great, thank you for posting this CalM! Had exactly the same issue, in this case the default printer had a fault - just changed it over and all is well again!

Hi All, Has anybody got any ideas how to (if at all possible) import the TTS-1 plugin from higher versions of sonar into sonar 2? Thanks

Just thought I'd update this as i hate finding threads with the question i want to know the answer too and its just petered out... Basically the Biostore Update service which pulls data from Biostore into Impact was the incorrect version. It was updated to v1.09 and all was fine - FSMs and Supervisor enabled accounts are now being credited immediately. Hope this is use to someone

Hi all, I'm hoping that someone can help me with a technical annoyance! On our client workstations where Sage IA+ is installed the date shows in the bottom right of sage as the current date but on entering data the field date is always at year 2000, even after changing the date within sage. Sage say to change the regional settings away from UK and reboot and back again although this does not work. The problem is not present with locally logged on users which would point towards a policy issue, I've added regional settings to the group policy for these clients but it still doesn't work. I've also been through and have double checked all permissions (locally and remote) Thanks
-
Indeed - another thing i've just tried and which seems to work is upping the permissions on the solus 3 folder security... what security have you guys got set on this folder for 'users'
-
Around that time, yes - it also potentially happens when outlook is launched, but this could just be coincidence as it'll be one of the first things for staff to run. It's also worth noting that we run netsuppot school which could also be causing a conflict
-
Just to add to the Solus 3 rage - we've got an issue on a fair number of clients where it messes up the resolution on their machine making it flash between high and low res and therefore making it unusable!!! Is this something that anyone else has come up against? The only resolution we've found so far is to uninstall the client. Thanks
-
Going for the three pronged attack here! I seem to be getting somewhere with Biostore

Cheers Mark - i've logged a call with groupcall and am waiting for them to get back to me. I assume Serco is you MIS system?

Hi again! Has anyone got any knowledge / experience of free school meal sync between SIMS and cunninghams cashless? Students are being updated as free meals, the groupcall is running each night but they aren't appearing in the cunninghams system. many thanks Tim

Hi All, Does anyone have any knowledge of how cunninghams cashless syncs with the parentmail system? We've got a number of parents who are unable to see what their childs account balance, etc is. many thanks Tim

Hi All, We've recently gone to CL10 and have now got issues with printers mapping to some clients using the add_printers.exe and printers.xml files in the classlink10$ share. It's definitely a client issue as if you install windows fresh and update it the printers appear fine. Obviously I'm trying to avoid re-imageing the majority of computers around the site and I'm struggling to find a way around it at the moment! All clients with the fault are fully patched XPsp3 x86. No events are logged in event viewer. has anyone come across a similar issue before? as it may help (although i cant see it!) i've attached a zip of process monitor logs taken from a client where they're not mapping and one where they are. Many thanks KHS_Printer.zip
