    How much Ram in the machine and how much are you allocating to the VM?

    Could you not install virtual box on your normal work laptop/PC?

    Find the storage drivers for your hardware and then click load drivers and point it to a usb pen with the drivers on, load the drivers and away you go - you should be able to use 64bit windows 8 drivers if its a laptop.

    Theres a microsoft patch to fix slow logins - have a quick google/search of the forum.

    If you enable cached logons they use a single logon (no local account needed or used) this allows them to log on to their domain account at home and get the offline files etc/.

    You will probably need to install the network driver into your boot image look at DISM Add and Remove Drivers Offline obviously change paths to the correct WIM file and them reimport to WDS to update.

    If this is correct no router needed, plug the a end into your lan, the b end into a switch and the link will be trasparent, it will pass all traffic as if it is an extension of your lan, think of it like a fibre link to a remote building.

    Depends what technology BT are using to provide the link and how its presented to you.

    Select group and right click properties, go to profile tab and change as needed - remember %username% will automatically put the username in if needed (amongst others you can use if set up)

    HP - lifetime warranty is a big bonus if nothing else. saying that extreme kit is feature rich if expensive and newer switches seem to need lots of firmware updates for a while to get them stable?

    This is why i think its a switch/es rebooting, seen it before. can you put them on a different/UPS'd supply for a while to see, or set a continuous ping to the switch and see what happens to this, can you enable a syslog/event log on the switch.

    Depends on the switches - some unmanaged/older switches will restart almost instantly.

    is it a power blip affecting the cabinet and therefore the switches restarting - are they on a UPS?
