Hi all Just up heads up in case you try and do it - you cant put Exchange 2007 on an R2 box - its not supported - you have to run it on a standard 2008 box. Cheers James

Quite simply really - drop the file onto your server via ftp or upload tool and make a note of where it is realative to your url eg http://www.someweb.co.uk/files/somepdf.pdf becomes /files/somepdf.pdf as a relative url inserrt your picture/logo/text etc that you want to become the link - set as a hyperlink and link it to the realtive url you found as above. Just to add - if you make sure you put a staff group in there rather than individual staff saves having to add new staff manually each time - just add them to the group and bobs your uncle.

I believe he is trying to stop students emailing the distribution lists but still allowing direct emails to specific teachers.

The only accept emails from is set on a per distribution list basis and therfore only affects the students sending to that list (you can set it per user if you have a nucisance emailer etc) but its mainly used for groups as in this situation. Your suggestion is the server way of achieving the same goal.

The only accept mail from is the bit you need to use - put all staff in that box and set it so that they are the only ones permitted to send to that email address. Thanks James

How many people have done the classis cold trick of telling someone who claims to know about IT that they have a: - "Uniform 5 Echo Romeo" error only for them to go "Oh yer, thats what I thought..." Classic one today when a head of IT fell straight into the trap. One born everyday. Anyone got any other good multi meaning error codes I can add to my arsenal. Cheers James
