I don't think our Head of MFL would know an MP3 if it bit her on the arse!

How does your school do this? This has landed on my desk?! because next year the listening exam comes on CD and it has been suggested that computers be used to play the CD's. I'm pretty sure the exam board will not like this so I suggested personal CD players (cheap and simple). Any suggestions appreciated.

Best way of spreading wireless load without managed system?
Vegas replied to sidewinder's topic in Wireless Networks
We somtimes have over 50 clients connected to 1 AP at one time, when say 2 rooms next to each other both book a 30 machine laptop trolly. We get no complaints of speed issues, and i was in the rooms the first time i knew that many laptops would be in 1 area to see how it handled it. You either have way to much being redirected on the laptops to network resources so traffic per client is way to large, or your getting interference. What AP's are you using? -

What version of Backup Exec do you have? Version 9.1 isn't compatible and version 10 needs a plugin.

Awesome, had my first go on my new board this week during half term, wicked fun, loads of decent hills where I live so no kite needed. One thing though my daughter was better at it than me!

Change your number and don't give it to the office and inform SLT why then tell them to provide a mobile phone for you at school. Done it here.

Portable Appliance Testing Who Does it where u r? Survay
Vegas replied to noah's topic in Wireless Networks
Science Tech does it here, he's actually full time so has not much else to do during the summer. Sorry no idea how many appliances, I stay well clear as I know he hates it and has been trying to palm it off on my team for years. -

According to the Times on Sunday one Teacher took 20+ attempts to pass their teaching numeracy test!! so they are not all rocket scientist's. Thanks for the suggestion but i'm thinking thats too extreme and possibly hazardous to my health.

You can't do this job without a helpdesk/log sheet but SLT must back you all the way. We have had ours in place for nearly 3 years now and it really has made a huge difference. All our staff know not to stop us 'in the corridor' or put pieces of scrap paper in our mail tray, when they do the first response from me or one of my techs is 'have you put it on the helpdesk?', some of them don't like it but thats the way it is and SLT back us up when we have the odd problematic member of staff. Regarding email, all staff have it and have been told again by SLT that they must check it at least once a day so we communicate with them that way, if they don't respond we put a note on the helpdesk so they have no come back when they complain.

Clarkson is too funny for words and is constantly taking the pi55 out of Hamster, May is quiet but chats away to the audience. The news actually takes 45 mins to shoot and is edited down as is the guest interview, that actually lasts for nearly an hour. We didn't see the star on the track as that is filmed before the audience arrives. You get to spend a half hour with all 3 out by an old double decker while having a tea break. Hammond is tiny!

I've been to see it filmed twice now, it was awesome fun.
