Hi My head of IT has asked me to post on here, as he would like to find out what anyone else is using for marking pupils work. He and another member of staff have tablet pcs and they use annotate on word for scrawling comments on kids work to email back to them before they print out final copies. Another couple of tecahers like the idea of JING which is screen capture software which you can record your voice onto and then it converts it inot a SWF file. WOuld like to know what anyone else is using, preferably free :-) Thanks in advance Stu

Hi all, quick question We are looking at getting students to collaborate on documents (all at once) and I wondered if anyone had any experience of using google docs for this purpose. We have signed up for Google Apps Education Edition (Which is free ) to try this but don't won't it to fall over if 30 kids are accessing the same doc at the same time. Any thoughts please?

Absolutely, go and vote and don't let the BNP in!

Yes a volunteer, but someone who took the time to make the other ones in time for the appropriate day/peoples birthday, without having to have a thread about it. If St Patricks is important enough why not St George???

stop being picky you know what I'm talking about

Ok so we've had an Irish theme etc.......... Why no British themed banner today for St Georges Day???????

Top banana guys, that has done the trick. -
Hi Guys, a bit of help please. I was reading a post a while ago and I remember someone posted a link about some software that allowed you to browse through files etc on Sony Ericsson phones. Hopefully someone will remember what is was? Please, I have tried searching, but the link was posted in a thread about something else. Thanks in advance. BTW the reason O need it is to print off some text messages so I'm open to suggestions.

Hhhmmmm, if you search for Jade Goody on news.scotsman.com you also get 9 pages of all the tabloid crap that has followed her around. Maybe not the most reliable source for medical facts and figures about more people taking up scans etc

Problem is where does it all end, has Clifford negotiated the rights with Heat/Hello/OK to do an open casket shoot when she's finally passed? Perhaps he should wave his fee and give it to her kids instead, if he was that concerned about her........

My vote goes for the Garmi Nuvi 250, I paid £79.99 from amazon at christmas and it has full european mapping :-) (that's £100 off!) I have used tomtom and this is far superior. Neat little size. From what I have read on the tomtom traffic system, it's pants. IMHO with tomtom you are paying for the name. Garmin is no-nonsense.

We do a PC Healthcheck for £39.99 With this I run CCleaner, Malwarebytes, Super anti spyware, HIjack this, look at start up programs etc, some I can get done in an hour others take a bit longer. Also recommend memory upgrades etc using the crucial scanner

Outside of school I am registered as Self Employed and this local company dishes out work to me, he charge £40/hour-residential and £60/hour business. I get paid £20/hour from this and it's working very nicely. Yes the travelling is a sod but anything over 30 miles he also pays me an allowance. Any private work I do is £25-30/hour. I have the odd customer who cannot leave me alone, but apart from that it's good. My boss lets me hook up any machines I have to take away on our testing bench, the way I see that is I am constantly learning so it's benefitting the school. I'm not great at asking for money, but the way I see it is that people don't mind paying the price for plumbers etc and in this day and age people cannot do without their computer and the constant need to stay in touch. I do worry sometimes that people are going to scoff at the price, but at the end of the day they are using your skills so why not
