Hi Everyone, I'm posting this here as I really value everyone's opinions on here (more so than some of my friend) and qould love some feedback on a project of mine, Basically I have always always always dreamed of owning some land or a small field, nothing massive say 1-2 acres , somewhere to chill out and do random things like quad biking , growing, kids birthday partys. Anyway my finances look like i will never furfill my dream unless i take some actions so i was thinking about making a kickstarter page to partiially fund the field purchase, having no experience with crowd funding , do you think this is a good idea? my idea would involve persons who pledge get something like. pledge £30 get tickets for a drive in movie @ the field pledge £60 get a birthday party @ the field pledge £150 get next 3 birthday partys @ the field pledge *any more i can think of, paintballing , 4x4 offroad , clay pidgeon shooting (i have a license but would need to look into more) Target funds to raise will be around 30k any thoughts?

not hardware but strangest thing i found was and I am not sure how but one day the MERU wifi access points were all broadcasting a random SSID across the whole site instead of our normal SSID, I downloaded a wifi tool to track the signal strength and found a windows xp laptop with 1) the wrong wifi driver (not sure if this added to the problem) and 2) windows ad hoc wifi setup , immediately turned it off and it all started working again, looking back wish i had more time to caprute the settings as it was a great wifi Denial of service of our channels..

CAW I'm sorry but I cant help you any further as I dont "trust" your setup you have . For example, there is no way with "generic" logins you can be recording or tracking internet use-age correctly , You may want to look at just MAC filtering as opposed to RADIUS, or speak with your wifi provider/installer to see if it supports RADIUS from DB.

To Confirm you have no active directory server? then how do your students login to a pc? if not then your wifi provider may support you querying a DB from a portal.

ok so you have 4 nics All teamed? open hyper v manager and virtual switch manager > how many virtual swicthes do you have? list the external network adaptors they are connected too let us know if the tick box "allow management operating system to share this network adaptor" is ticked?

Any HP procurves experts out there? We have a switch 2900-24G (j9049a) that has a 10GB cx4 connection the back and want to connect it via 10GB to another procurve 2920-24g. Can i user an adapter to convert the CX4 to LLC ? (like this J8439A)

There is not DHCP res starting HP_* i see the micro USB now on the back , do i need a special micro usb to usb cable/com port adaptor

there are no DHCP reservations :-( (this network needs a bit of work doing) nmap doesn't show it. the only assumption i can think of its been put on a sperate IP/subnet without using vlans

hello everyone I have inherited a network and for the life of me cannot find the management IP of the SAN i believe its a HP MSA 2040 The servers connect to the ISCSI port on 192.168.20.253 and 192.168.20.252 but There are no vlans on the switches the switches are all on the same LAN (yes i know) the SAN is plugged into the switch via 2 x 10GB DAC and 2 x 1GB ethernets any ideas? i have scanned the network for ports 20,21,22,23,80,443 and still cannot find this san ?

would you try creating a new group (call it ADsync ) and adding 1 user into it? ideally the same user you changed the ADSI edit with , then force a sync

can you confirm Azure AD Connect version ? can you confirm SQL version ? what OS is the DC? can you post the VIEW CURRENT CONFIGURATION ? did you ever have DIRSYNC installed?
