  1. I think we've just been binning ours... I did point out the "This product contains mercury" text on the box when replacing one today... don't think anyone else really thought about it.
  2. Awesomeness, I'm planning on doing a computer club at some point as there's plenty of kids who'd be interested. At the moment we have 20 old P4 machines that I've used in some year 7/8 IT lessons to teach them about what's in-the-box, nothing too advanced but they got to take bits out and add new parts etc.
  3. Agreed, there are some times when staff access to youtube is necessary when dealing with cases of happy-slapping or sometimes where a video of someone doing damage to the school gets uploaded.
  4. Only staff, they don't half moan when they can't get on it, some of them are so reliant on it.
  5. Isn't it a similar story in America with Pepsi Max? I read something about their food regulatory body not allowing some of the ingredients used... doesn't stop me being hooked/fully dependant on the stuff though.
  6. I'm Ollie, 17, part time IT technician at the Arthur Terry School in Sutton Coldfield, I'm also a sixth form student at the school, just reaching the end of year 12. I was well geeky and helped the IT techs from year 8 so when I was 16 and we were moving buildings they started paying me which I was rather happy about. I don't think I could be any happier with my job at the moment, doing what I enjoy and so much better than working in Waitrose.
  7. Part time IT techie (& sixth former) in Birminghamland. =D
  8. Hmm, I might give them a call in a bit and see what they say, I doubt they're going to want to say why though. I wouldn't mind getting CC4 but there's no chance of it happening, xD. Is there anyone who has RM Tutor 4 who can test it on a standalone setup?
  9. Hi, previously we used RM CC3 on our system, we have since moved to a thin/fat client system running off ****** (big mistake) buttt... left over from this we are still using RM Tutor 3 which is just rebranded Netsupport School as far as I can see. We have an increasing number of vista clients and NSS 8.02 clientside does not work with Vista. Netsupport School pricing seems rather high from what I've found from googling and RM is selling RM Tutor 4 for £6000 for 500 clients which is considerably cheaper, they do however list it as compatible with CC4 only. If it's only NSS what would stop us from installing it on our system, as they said the same about Tutor 3 which runs fine on our XP clients. Does anyone have any experience with this or further advice? Another thing I was wondering about is terminal server compatibility, with RM Tutor 3 (NSS 8.02) we can limit internet access for local IE but IE running on the TS cannot be limited, what would the story be with the latest version? Likewise, with this printer management it has, would it be able to effectively operate when using some remote and some local software on our fat clients. Thanks, Ollie
