  1. Work arounds are all well and good, but SOLUS3 should be doing this in the first place. I've logged a call with capita regarding it.
  2. Not yet. Our LA instance won't upgrade to 3.6 due to a database upgrade error. We also have not rolled it out to schools yet because it seems that the SOLUS 3.6.92 auto deployment functionality is broken! We're waiting for a working version, I'm not manually upgrading 120+ SOLUS3 instances for no one!!!
  3. Welcome to my world. And I've been rolling it out to LA schools for the past 6 months... [Pirate Voice]SOLUS3 be not for the faint of heart! She be a cruel mistress![/Pirate Voice]
  4. You can't I don't think. The SOLUS3 UI should eventually come back as "agent uninstall failed" (if the uninstall of the SOLUS3 agent does actually fail) otherwise it will uninstall the SOLUS3 agent from the workstation and remove it from the UI. If it does come back as a failed removal, the easiest way will be to uninstall the SOLUS3 agent off the workstation manually, then in the SOLUS3 UI, select the device and use the remove button. You can then re-add the device into the SIMS Workstation channel which will reinstall the SOLUS3 agent onto it. In theory, SOLUS3 should then see that the SIMS client is out of date on the current workstation and automatically upgrade it.
  5. One Gromit Spotting in Bristol, the other taken at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. The colours are usually more vivid, however the weather was rather gloomy during the Balloon Fest. Taken on a HTC Desire HD.
  6. Aggh! Now I know about the screen size, I want to wait for the Nexus 5!
  7. Thanks for the heads up. I don't store movies on my phone and photos taken with the camera get uploaded automatically to Dropbox so no issues deleting them if I take too many! However, only 5GB of free space on the 8GB model is still rather small.
  8. The second error is that SIMS does not have permission to create/access the XML files it created on login, usually in users H: drive or local My Documents. Check the user can access the H:\My SIMS Documents folder and have full write permissions to it.
  9. It's going to be a big task for all the car insurance companies to identify who was/wasn't at fault!
  10. You would think so wouldn't you! 1) This is SOLUS3 we're talking about. 2) It's a Capita product.
  11. I would assume that if no one has been "seriously" injured/killed, then they must have been going slower than normal. From the pictures, none of the cars look like they have been massively smashed up either like they would have been if going at high speeds? However like you said, they should have been crawling. I've only once driven in fog where I could not see more then 5 meters in front of me and it was on main country road. While I'm a confident driver, it was a bit unnerving and I went at no more then 15 mph. If anyone wanted to overtake, they were free to do so. Edit: Seems a few more pictures are now out and one or two of the cars do look a little worse for ware!
  12. I'm trying to upgrade our SOLUS3 database but it's erroring out with a rather large, nasty looking error. The error pops up and closes so quickly, my print screen skills are failing me. Can someone recommend a free piece of software that I can use to capture the error?
  13. Check where SIMS is installed to on the device. If SOLUS3 is set to install to the default location, on a 64-bit machine it will install it to C:\Program Files (x86)\SISM\SIMS .net where you may have SIMS installed to C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net instead.
  14. I've come across this in a number of sites now and not sure if anyone else has seen this or experienced it. We have some schools which are fully SOLUS3. Everything SIMS wise has been set up, they've had a successful upgrade in the past, Connect and SIMS.INI files have been specified in the SOLUS3 UI etc etc. However, when new workstations are successfully added to SOLUS3 for SIMS .net installations, SIMS .net installs fine however in most cases, the connect.ini file is not automatically created/copied onto the workstation. Running SIMS on these new devices results in it prompting for a Connect.ini file. The manual "Deploy connect.ini" file functionality in SOLUS3 is also hit and sometimes does not copy the Connect.ini file out to some devices. Has anyone come across this, or have any ideas as to what is happening here?
  15. BBC News - Samsung unveils Galaxy Gear smartwatch accessory Out on the 25th September. Annoyingly, it can only pare with Samsung devices running Android. Specs: http://www.samsungmobilepress.com/2013/09/04/GALAXY-Gear-1
  16. He did a metal Game of Thrones cover that was awesome! He has loads of vids and really knows his way around a guitar!
  17. Looks like they are out of stock for the 8GB models. Doubt there will be any more back in stock.
  18. I assume you can only get it direct from google at that price? Not from resellers/high street shops etc?
  19. Did you order it direct from Google? https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_4_16gb
  20. No requirement for 4G, doubt it will be down my way for a while now. I was assuming I could get an N4 on the cheap still so thanks for that bit of info, handy to know! Think the N4 does it for me then. Not a big fan of super sized smart phone screens which I assume the N5 will be.
  21. Yep, that's the one I have access to.
  22. Link for anyone who wants it. And if you don't why not?! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/terraria/id640364616?mt=8
  23. I actually have access to the new SupportNet Alpha site. While it's very limited on content (being alpha and a test system), it looks like it could be a big improvement on the current version!
  24. Not really. Removable battery is handy though if it starts to ware out. I have got a 8GB SD card in my current phone, but if I get a 16GB model, I doubt I'll have a need for it. Maybe I'll hag fire until it's announced just to see the spec/price etc. Ican still get the 4 if necessary. Nice. I'd want to get Ad Aware on there, Titanium Backup and a few other apps that require root access.
  25. The S3 does look good, but at £284 on Amazon, I'm thinking it's still a little pricey..
