In exchange go to the distribution group - go to mail flow settings -message delivery restriction and untick all users need to be authenticated. this is enabled by default on exchange 2010 and essentially means internal only (unless the external manages to auth against your server).

I'm looking to get netflix at home to connect to my TV. At present I have a freesat HD box which has some on demand features but doesn't support Netflix. I'm looking to get a little device which can be used alongside the Freesat box to just stream stuff from Netflix. I've seen the Asus O!Play Mini which has support for Netflix but any others people can recommend?

I Believe this is possible to do with TMG but you will need to ask somebody else how. When you look into the full costings from everything you get for SWGFL you may be plesently surprised. On my old WSGFL school it was only £500 per year more to move away from WSGFL go for a 100mb leased line (versus 20mb from wsgfl) and then get a smoothwall for 3 years. This included firewall and mail filtering via the Smoothwall device. the freedom is gave was huge.

No don't rename an Exchange server!!!! As long as you have the new mail server on along side the old one once a mailbox is migrated outlook will automatically reconfigure itself with the new servers address. once you start moving mailboxes to the new server you will need to change the OWA to be able to talk to them. OWA on the exchange 2010 box will view 2003 mailbox but not vice versa. I havn't used isa in a while but yes I have a feeling you need to cert both the exchange box and isa box to trust each other. Yeah I know that I was just seeing why he thought it was free. in the grand scheme of things £45 isn't much I know - considering for 5 users in non-edu its nearly 1k. @Greenbeast there is being leery about cloud tech and being ignorant. It has its benefits and it has its drawbacks depending on what you are trying to acheive. Moving Exchange to Live@Edu or Google Apps is something which can have a good benefit for little cost (mainly setup time). You can also look at things like full managed cloud backups. This can be easily achieved but costs money. For example Databarracks (who's Datacenter is in a Nuclear Bunker in Kent). They will setup install and fully manage all your backups so that its taken off your hands and its backed up to their private Tier 4 datacenter. Although this relies totally on the internet for functionality. EDIT: if you get all your microsoft licensing for free then I presume they would give you office 365 for free!

What filter do you use? With transparent proxy on a Smoothwall for example you can redirect the initial web-request to a login page. Login using AD creds leave that window open and you session is then filtered according to the rules as normal.

How is your exchange free? even with MS educational licensing deals you still have to pay for it....

As mentioned above - depends on your network setup. You simple need to change it to http_access xx.xx.xx.0/xx for whatever your internal subnet is. You can then restrict it even further - for example I used to have a second squid proxy running over an unfiltered ADSL line in the school before we took on the leased line. enabling this feature meant we could restrict it to purely the static addresses of our machines in the office rather then everybody.

I would go with AirServer for the Windows Machines - and then Apple has built in the AirPlay and you can get AirPlay apps for Android.

My Main points against it was 1. Our initial setup was terrible as done via lea centrally hosted. Looked awful and wasn't used. 2. When we were moving away capita wanted 13k for setup and then about £1800 a year 3. its built on Sharepoint which is terrible anyway 4. more cost effective solutions are available. I could go on

TBH its something which could easily be scripted DSQUERY USER -samid enter_username_here | dsmod user -pwd enter_new_pw_here -mustchpwd no and modify so that it prompts for the password rather then entering it in the script.

Veeam! Nothing beats it in terms of backups for VM's IMHO.
