I can get to 2196 on the clients.

Server can connect i take it the clients need to be able to as well. I have done telnet gateway.push.apple.com 2195 and telnet gateway.push.apple.com 2196 and I get escape character is ^.

Profile manager is not updating the proxy setting so that the devices cannot connect to the internet.

I have had some Sophos UTM installed and profile manager has not updated the settings for the new proxy and certificate. How do you do a GP update on OD?

Could some one explain how to set these DNS settings in Windows https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6214622?hl=en. Because as I see it if you point to restrictmoderate.youtube.com it will be a subdomian of youtube.com and the DNS server will not know the ip address.

How do you change the internal addresses of the RAS and then get it to route to other subnets? I changed the address of the server and it broken. I am getting a auto assigned address. How on earth do you get routing working on the RAS server it is rubbish.

Also are most people going with 1GB bearers or going for options like 100mb leased line + FTTC and load balancing? We have a Sophos UTM for filtering by that point the internet is due for renewal. Also it would be good to know if any of ISP offer online backup as well?

Still cannot get the switch to route apparently the it is on in the web ui but I can't ping machine in other vlans. Should I upgrade to the latest firmware (stacked) ? How can the guide to making this work be so rubbish.

This explains why every thing broke. The management vlan currently has the router on it so how do I enable routing to that? Could you explain the vlan routing 1 1?

How can I tell if inter vlan routing is setup? I changed this setting this morning and had to revert the change as it cause problems. Looking at it it might be that that the Router is setup in DHCP pointing to the wrong address not the core switch and the the Edge security device had DHCP enable.

How do you set the DHCP helper on a Netgear M5300 switch I cant see a enable DHCP helper in the vlan settings. Do I only need to set in on my core switch if all vlan's terminate there? How can this be easy to do on HP and Cisco but hard on Netgear? Currently my DHCP server has multiple ip addresses.

Yep DC with multiple IP address how do I resolve that? There is layer 3 routing on the netgear core switch.

Thing is I am perpetual licenced so that a pain. I would have to license the units. Also rebuilding the cluster sounds a pain. Nothing stopping me putting a DC on each host but not in the cluster.

I think I am on 2012 non r2 so that's a pain. I take it I could put a dc outside the cluster.

Does 2012 cluster not need a dc to bring it on line or is it a 2012 DC that is the key? We have 200 clients machines so it a bit over kill.

I am I ok going down to 3 DC from 5 currently the SIMS server is a DC and so is the backup. I have 3 virtual DC will it be ok if I pull my 2 DC out of the hyper-v cluster and put directly on a hyper-v server and leave the DHCP server inside the cluster. This is currently on the print server I am planning to move this to a DC. Or am I still better having a physical DC? Also most server have multiple ip address one for each vlan at what stage should I resolve this and what will I need to do to sort?

Hi I trying to work out what to duplicate to tape currently I backup VM's using veeam free addition but on file server and SIMS I am using veeam endpoint protection as well. I am now wondering what to duplicate to tape the store where end point backs up to or the full VM backup's of these machines?
