I have a dlink. baught it for 20 quid from argus last year. I have to say, im really impressed with it so far. If i had more cash at the time, i would have gone for the netgear, personally in my experience i think linksys is way over priced, and are not reliable.

Whats the point in going to all that trouble. your school should have insurance. if any thing is nicked like a computer, projector etc you will just get another one. Pluss I would have thaught it would be up to the school site manager and bursor to make sure the school is secure, and fix any security probkems should they arrise

erm... I've got mine to bypass the lot so i can talk to the NM when he works from home.

My job is boring... IT technician... but, the coordinator has said im in charge of the hardware and the NM is in charge of the software. hence the reason why i need to move, as im starting to get bored and frustrated.

Last year I had to install a new switch and patch pannel in a cab that was already bursting at the seems, had to reorganize the whole cab and redo every wire. end effort... some how I managed to get it all in but i tend to avoid as all costs of opening the door... boooooiiiiiing. keep mentioning to the it coordinator and NM that we need bigger cabinets in areas of the school, but hey, apparently we are doing just fine.

I agree I had a quick look at the bios update versions and nothing seems to be mentioned in relation to fixing the nature of the problem. do you have a spare PSU with a bit more beef?
