Second School desktop: VeryPC broadleaf one, 4GB ram, 3Ghz Pentium G860, dual monitors (how does anyone cope with one)

This is what I have, with 8gb ram, 3.3ghz CPU and a nvidia 610 graphics (nice and cheap for multi monitor support)

Hi All, We're going to be getting some web/ip cams installed on our green roof. I though a cool thing to do would be a time lapse over the year to show changing seasons etc. My question is how many frames should I take per day/night. I don't want it too long but I also don't want it to flick from day to night too quick as I can imagine this to hurt eyes. My initial thought was 48 frames per 24 hours so each day night cycle would be 2 seconds long when played at 24 FPS. Or would it be better to still do 48 frames per 24 hours but play back at a lower FPS? Any advice welcome. Thanks, Dan

It can be a few things, but the most common I've noticed after a dead lamp is the internal hard thermal switch. To reset this you have to take the top cover off and insert something (I usually use a paper clip) into the hole in the circuit board just above the black lamp cover. I've never used google glass so it's hard to say. I guess if the screen takes up more than a certain percentage of your vision then it's a no go. Could also be an issue on how you focus on the screen, a sat nav would be further away so less change in focus from that to the road.

Got mine from quiet pc, although I'm sure I only paid about £20 for it.

I have one of these ::: Zalman, leading the world of Quiet Computing Solutions ::: that can emulate a DVD/CD from an ISO. It's been a god send for traveling from school to school with.

Stuck on 6 & 9

Our office has a HP laserjet 400. When printing labels they just use the bypass tray, they've never moaned so I presume it works ok.

If doing it as a practical, split the class up into two groups as two networks, assign one student per group to be the routers. A 'client' in one group passes the note to the 'router' in their group who then passes it to the other 'router'. If you had enough students you could even have a switch assigned as well as a router then have students pass notes to each other via the network structure. This could also simulate busy networks etc and how data slows down the more you put through the network etc.

This is pretty much what we have. A LAMP server with a few info boxes with links, network status, helpdesk link and a Google search box. Although staff usually type Google into the search box then search from the results page, so it may as well just be a link.

find the vendor or device id as @Griff said and pop it into PCI Vendor and Device Lists you can find out what it is and sometimes it has the driver listed.

I use Libre office, Thunderbird for mail with extensions for gmail contacts and calendar and Remmina for RDP.
