Frog Update is it me or does it always break things
round2it replied to round2it's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
I will pass your comments on to Mark at Frog To add to your comments Securus used to have dedicated servers (stupid money) but now do a vm version you can just bung on a server somwhere. so yes I think you have a valid point-and to be honest the prices quoted for a server from frog were not very cheap -
Hi Anyone using YHGFL connection The new filtering is now in place ,our internet speed is diabolical at the moment also sites that were not blocked before are now blocked, Example of 1 is ebay you can not view descriptions, or images not educational but an example. If you are on the Grid can you post what your system is like.

have one ssid and create an account on the network with no mapped drives etc also add a group policy to enable disable proxy settings for that user if required as long as your security settings are in place you should have no problems. a bit too complicated to use the 2 ssids i would expect keep it simple or even dual boot as another option but a bit over the top 2 pence worth

Thanks Green_Goblin Great Point that I have Over Looked. Does Frog Actually Do any type of backup service as you can access our frog boxes Must admit the backup feature is what I would Say Basic as we are loading all our teaching material onto our box and shudder at the thought of using the current backup system.
