Anyone had any hands on with Aerohive?

At the moment I am pretty much leaning towards Ruckus! I've not yet tested Aerohive but as I said there should be a test unit with me soon. I like what Aerohive is capable of from a management perspective, but the really important thing is just having a really solid wifi solution and I think Ruckus maybe topdog thanks to it's fancy radio arrays.

I've just had an Aerohive webex and they are sending me a demo unit. I do like the features and distributed nature of the Aerohive and will see how it copes in our interference zone when I demo it, as that is our key concern. FYI both the Ruckus and Extricom I've had demo'd worked great despite the interference but that was not hooked up our own network which I will insist on before purchasing any solution. In my mind the Ruckus tech is going to be best at actually coping with interference due to their Antenna array. Aerohive seems the most robust and feature full though. Any more tips or thoughts are most welcome!

Hi all, Just looking for up to date advice or opinions on which manufacturer to go with. I just had a quick demo of Extricom and have heard good things about Ruckus so am favouring one of those two but am open to any really. Our key thing is dealing with the neighbouring schools spread of APs in all bands. Anyway, as I say, any tips or thoughts on this would be much appreciated. Cheers

I figured out what it was. So for information here it is: Firstly this was on a Toshiba R850-15E laptop, which had been imaged with a non-toshiba provided 32 version of Windows 7 then all drivers downloaded and installed from Toshibas support site (I did download specifically for the R850-15E). All drivers and software worked fine until the machine was sysprep'd. After OOBE setup the issue occurred where it was not possible to copy files from the network onto the laptop's HDD. It turns out that the offending software was the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. Once this is removed from a freshly set up image it all works fine. Cheers,

As the title describes I have a Toshiba Laptop I have configured with software then syspreped and used WDS to image. Upon setting the image up explorer crashes whenever I try to copy a file from the network. I think it may be something to do with a certain piece of software I put on as I have a syspreped image which only contains drivers that works after set up. But if it is this software (or infact a windows update) it works fine until a sysprep and image is carried out. Anyone come across this before? Thanks

Hi, I am beginning to put windows 7 machines on my server 2003 domain and would like to apply group policy to them. Here is what I have done so far: Installed RSAT on a win7 machine for management Copied the policy definitions to SYSVOL\domain\Policies\PolicyDefinitions Configured a separate OU with inheritance blocking on that contains my win 7 machines As far as I can tell through research on the web that is all I need to do to apply group policy to windows 7 machines. After spending quite a while trawling through the many user and computer configurations via RSAT and setting things up I booted one of the machines to find very little of what I enabled taking effect. From what I have read it is not necessary to update the scheme via adprep unless you want stuff like bit locker working. Is this right? Am I missing a step? Is there a trick to getting it working? Any tips or info would be useful. Thanks
