I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for to find if they've been put out via HRDP using Message trace, but nothing sticks out. But following this guide I've looked at the message headers, and the SCL level is set at 1. However, it's not just our headteacher who is being blocked now, our PA can't email btinternet addresses either...

I've looked at message trace (and thank you for pointing out that tool, very useful!) but there's nothing dodgy with the headteacher's account that I can see. However, we've set automatic replies on our generic office account that we've had for years. As a result, that email address has sent around 200 failed emails in the past week, to 'no-reply' email addresses that have emailed in to that account. Would that be having a negative impact, enough to put us in the High-risk delivery pool?

Only bulk emails we send are internal, we use Parentmail for parents... I'll see what I can see in the Exchange control panel.

We're having a similar discussion over here From the looks of it, I would guess that using the script from spiceworks may not work with a Sysprep, and you may be better removing the apps from the .wim file using powershell

This is thread to remove apps, though @Arthur should get the credit! The last page has a powershell script, and I think @Arthur has a .zip file with scripts in to get rid of the apps, so use whichever you're more comfortable with.

Following this as I'm planning something similar... From what I've read, for the start I would do this: 1, Download the latest version of Windows 10 you want to deploy (not necessarily the latest update, upto you). 2, From the .iso, export the .wim file and remove the apps (there's a thread on this somewhere...) 3, Import that .wim into MDT ready to deploy. 4, Applocker, I believe, does more than just stop those apps, but prevent other things from running that you may not want to remove, such as the Windows Store app, though I may be wrong on this point. As for the rest, I can't help as I'm not there yet! Would be interested in how other people are rolling this out, I'm planning on doing a step by step blog once I've got a way that works for us...

Just to update myself, HDMI does work, only VGA that's playing up...

Got an odd problem with a Casio XJ-M130, no matter the input, I'm getting 'No signal input'. We've tried a VGA and a HDMI connections, both have the same issue. Also tried a hard power off and a factory reset of settings, changing cables, and connecting directly to the projector, taking out the wall plate, no dice. Anyone else experienced something similar with Casio projectors?

Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to give every student in Year 7 a Surface laptop? Something that will last them until their GCSEs, and give them so much potential to learn. It's frustrating looking at the hardware that we have to work with in schools and compare it to the Microsoft dream. I find myself thinking that I could cobble something together, and test out Windows 10 S on our 4 year old laptops to try and give them a new lease of life, because that's what we do in schools, we make do. But a big part of me doesn't want to make do, and feels that in education, we shouldn't be making do, that we should be excelling, and providing our staff and students the best equipment, so that the technology doesn't impede students getting the best education that we possible give. Anyway, my take from this has been: Try Windows 10 S on our older devices. Does it provide a better/faster experience for the subject areas that only need a web browser and Office? Test InTune for Education. Is it easy to manage? Could a primary school use it to manage devices, or would it need a dedicated Technician or outside support company? Keep an eye out for the new Windows 10 S devices. Do they really compete with Chromebooks? Test out the new Minecraft for Edu and see if that's worth a shot with ICT/Computing classes. And if budgets (home or school!) ever allow, test out the new Surface Laptop.

After attending a Google event last week and being very impressed with ChromeOS and Chromebooks (and the ability to convert any laptop/desktop to Chrome via Neverwear) I'm very interested in seeing Microsoft's answer to the Chromebook and ChromeOS. Fingers crossed it's something that is easy to manage, can run on old hardware and value for money!

For the current year, would the School Report not do the job? Reports - School Report - Uncheck everything apart from Session Attendance summary - Show long version and change the date range for the first term and then run for each term? Depends on what vulnerable groups you're looking for.

Looks similar to my new setup (apart from the SANS, can't afford those...). I'm going to using Hyper-V replication to replicate the VMs from the new HP DL380 G9s to my old server as my way of ensuring failover. I also looked at setting up a Failover cluster, but as I don't have highly accessible storage it's not possible for me, though looks like it would be very possible for you.

Sorry to leap on, but anyone else using RM Unify having difficulties with students logging in today, or just me?

RM Broadband here, with a Smoothwall for firewall/filtering. 3 hours downtime in 6 months so far.

We did this for the first few tests, but once confidence was gained in the tests and the hardware they were taking it on, we dropped to phone support when necessary.
