this is what i have done with my exchange 2010 :-) on a Virtulized ubuntu server running on hyper-v with amavis

Ive bravely deployed it into an IT room that isn't timetabled as an ICT teaching room, and the library so i'll let you know what happens when term begins :s worst case it only takes a few hours to redeploy windows 7

Well i tried installing 2012 on an old server i had that was a P4 Based Xeon but it fails to install with 0x0000005D error which means that Execute Disabled Bit is not enabled. Turns out my CPUs are too old to support ie i had SL7HF and whilst they had EM64T they don't support Execute Disabled Bit, so I'm trying to find some that i can put in there place i tried some SL8MA but despite the intel board processor compatibility list saying they should work they don't like my board! hey ho.. Its one to watch out for!

Yeah I've got a couple 2012 servers now but the apps only show up if they are on the machine I tried that first. As there aren't any metro apps on the server tHey don't show up when you create the rules. :-s

Well i cant get the Package app rules to work. I tried t install the RSAT on a windows 8 Enterprise but it fails. despite following the instructions here RSAT Tools for Windows 8 RTM So i setup a virtual machine with Win 8 Release Preview on and installed the tools fine. created the policy and added the App Rules Enforced the Policy but they just don't seem to work you cans till click on the store or the games it should say this app has been blocked by your administrator Group Policy Central I tried changing the version numbers to * but no joy.. Anyone got this working yet?

ok kewl thats worked. so what i did was: Install Win8 on a clean disk. Take a image of it in FOG Restore the Image to a new machine -> boots to winload.exe error. Repair the computer with Win8 Boot usb stick and make sure it boots Take another image of the machine this then deploys ok. I told Fog it was a single partition windows 7 image. Now to see if my unattended.xml is anything like right! i just cribbed my win 7 one making the same changes for win8

that will be my next try. i'm just deploying it again now if this dosen't work i will take a multi of the original machine. i'll post back in an hour or so... unless i go home then it will be next week

Download Microsoft Project Professional 2013 Preview choose office 365 on the right then right at the bottom is a link to office 2013 rather than the online ver. something like download msi ver office is preview its not released but seems stable enough. its also on technet subscriptions

ok well ive booted the machien from the win8 usb stick and fog has laid sda1 down at 100MB not 350MB as win8 sets out. but running the repair from win8 usb fixes it and it boots. so now i am taking another image with the sda1 at 100MB and i'll try and deploy that to a third machien probably on monday now. hopefully this will work. it would be kewl to have one room with win8 and office 2013 ready for sept.

Hi all anyone tried taking an image of win8 yet. on download after reboot i get Winload.exe error screen. i guess its something to do with the 350 rather than 100MB sda1 partition but not sure yet.

Hi all i need to add a NIC driver to the clonezilla initrd.img i have managede to build the driver in ubuntu and it adds it to its initrd (in a virtual machien) but they are obviously different to clonezillas build as it kernal panics when it can't find a script to run if i use this kernel instead of the one on the clonezilla iso. So im thinking i need to get the drivers into the initrd.img that comes with Clonezilla Im using clonezilla from PXE boot and need to add the Atheros ALX driver into it alx | The Linux Foundation My linux knowledge is low so any help would be greatly appreciated.
