a lot of android apps run well, some android apps run stupidly (like crunchyroll plays video in a postage stamp sized window as it seems to think the screen is always in the wrong orientation) some dont work limiting depends for 95% of what i do rds and a browser is all i need. if i need to do script testing ill use a vm/spare pc. esp at home i seldom need anything more infact when the pc under my tv finally gives up teh ghost im debating replacing it with a chromebox as all i ever use it for is watching youtube etc

you can sort of on a chromebook. at one point (until work changed my gsuite account from a .co.uk to .cloud and borked my logon) had the linux version of firefox running on my chromebook alongside the obvious chrome (id imagine you could also install linux chrome/opera etc pretty easily)

pixlbook. it does everything* i need (and i got it cheap) *i still havnt found a paint.net equivalent for some simple image editing i do basically add boxes over an image and crop all the tools seem to be serious photo editing or useless

i will never get why the 4 way stop is a thing it seems such a dumb solution to the problem fixed by just designating one road through the middle as the keep going route or a roundabout.

finished Tokyo mirage session #fe encore on Sunday. Tried to go back to my heroic run on halo 2 but gave up as my spawn point is awful. played gta online for a bit as theres free money but spent a lot of the cash id been building up over the years. I now have a bunker an arcade and a business (the last one was because it wouldnt let me do owt with the arcade unless i was a vip etc. Meant to go in for 10 mins spent the morning playing just getting the arcade missions done so it has stuff inside and a garage

my understanding of the setup schools pc app is for quickly and repeatedly adding pcs to azure not ad. so if ou have azure ad connect setup people can login no issue but they will only get azure policies applied. You can do printers etc with that if you have intune and you script it i believe but they are not traditional domain joined pcs and azure policies are in no way a full replacement for ad gpo

kind of. if you dont register a user for a free account it wont even load it just asks for a username and quits if it dosent get one (after the trial period). so you are going to have to get staff to create accounts or do it for them

realistically the options are make chrome write its stuff to a local location like appdata or have multiple shortcuts for chrome i think you can set its data dir in a switch so one shortcut goes to h:\chrome\1 and another to h:\chrome\2 looks like the switch is [TABLE=class: overview-table, width: 938] [TR] [TD]--data-path ⊗[/TD] [TD]Makes Content Shell use the given path for its data directory. ↪[/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE] but i havent tried it

i think thats your problem you have 2 copies of chrome trying to write to the same place.

are you redirecting appdata?

my hearing ok it was just an example but that said they are in ear headphones but worn loosely so i can still hear whats going on so im sure they leak sound people needing to vote responsibly ah ha ha ha. without making this political im not sure i have any faith in any of the main parties to do anything atm public transport is part of the solution esp for long journeys there is n way id rather drive to or in london than get a train there but they keep closing leeds station at the weekend and even when it is open unless you book way in advance its soo expensive and i generally decide fairly late if im going somewhere often based on weather so its hard to plan in advance (i dont want to stand all day at donnington watching touring cars in the rain its a miserable experience)

when the council slice of the money for sims before the school ever get it yes or they would end up paying for 2 mis solutions. Most of the schools i support run sims the ones that dont are all 1 mat and they stipulate scholar pack. they took on a new school a month or 2 ago and within weeks sims was gone

If i want to get to leeds from home (its about 4-5 miles) the quickest way is driving (obviously but parking is horrendously expensive), bus from the closest busstop takes ~45 mins, bus from a more main road busstop 20-30 and a 10-15 min walk to get there, drive to park and ride and get bus from there (but not on match days) 25 mins ish (10-15 drive 10 bus), bike about 45 mins but getting back sucks as its uphill so it takes longer as i end up pushing the bike as its a long steep hill, train possible but id have to walk/drive the wrong way 1st and thats just to the city centre for work as i do usually 2 sites a day it just wouldnt work (and i was all over yesterday). short of using an uber/taxi there is no way i could do my job without a car and calling an uber to ferry me round would be more polluting than me just driving. Leeds keeps doing studies for (and iirc buying land for) trams etc then at the last minute the government always say no. It i believe the largest city in Europe without a tram/mass transit system

and gamestop in the states year on year sales are down 27% iirc. tough time to be a brick and mortar computer game shop as i think i saw 70% of games are now bought digitally. i only really use game for hardware and if im near card credit for my consoles as i wont put the credit card on them having to go and buy a card makes me think a bit harder if i want the game or not and usually the games are still cheaper shipped as a disk from amazon or even in asda than from game or digitally

i honestly have no idea about Leeds i go in that infrequently (and the last 2 times were on my bike and they closed that evans down its now going to be a restaurant) because it takes forever to get there on the bus (the closest stop the bus goes via all sorts of places before Leeds and if i walk to mins to a better service its not much slower to cycle) and parking is damned expensive id rather go to the white rose centre where parking is free and its all undercover and i dont have to navigate they nightmare thats the Leeds loop road
