We've bough a few of these from HP, pretty rugged, all the specs you asked for except processor but we found them to be responsive and good enough for students' use... come in around £500 HP Probook x360 11 G1 EE Z3A47EA#ABU

+1 for AMC too, have used them a lot for general stuff in last few years.

Yes same problem has recently started showing here too. We have around 60 Stone NT310 (clevo w550eu) and as reported hinge screws come out. Thanks for linking that to power (not charging failures) as we've just had a spate of those too which needs a new MOBO (approx £80 ea. from Stone) to sort. Of course they are all out of warranty now

Yes i've come across this, thought it may have been staff messing but does seem to just switch over & staff can never get it back! Any one else have any fixes for this.

another +1 for Unifi video. We have just installed 1 dome camera in an IT suite using a wall mounted box(AbraCam) from RF Elements as we didn't have a false ceiling. We used the supplied injector into a std switch & are very happy with the results. We have a standalone server box running the NVR software & like the front end on it, nice & simple very similar feel to the WiFi which we also use & like. For the money good piece of kit, probably will be expanding the amount of cameras we have.

Did a similar thing recently & tried using the built in windows tool. Seems fine taking an image that works OK but recovery is a problem. Ran into the size issue mentioned above even though I had a same size disk the actual partition was slightly larger which screwed it up. Went back shrank it but go a different error this time, was fed up by now so used Acronis true image HD 2014, just worked first time.

We've been looking at this & bought a couple of touch screens to try out, 65 & 55. Staff that have used them like them a lot but the issue we are going to have I found out is that as we have a Promethean site license for Active Inspire with the active boards we have to use Promethean Touch screens to not be in breach of our license agreement or else pay £500 a screen to use other manufacturers hardware. This wasn't the case when we bought the two try out boards (I checked with Promethean direct) but they have changed their tune now, confirmed by the Licensing guy on the stand at BETT this year. Pity we can't shop around a bit for the hardware, & we won't change from Active Inspire.

Good move if you get on with the SLT member, suppose you can always goto sleep No such luck just a tech & web dev guy, booked a later train back 8ish so may have a couple of London Prides & food before we head back

I presume the app doesn't have one of those indoor GPS like tracking things that shows you where you are or even stand numbers....so yes download the floor plan seems to be the way to go.

Yes looking forward to it on Thursday.....as usual too much to see not enough time, a rare little trip to the big smoke from Yorkshire

Hi Mike, Do you have the background set to black in the layout options or is it set that way in a default template?

Used to love this way back on the BBC....even bought a joystick to I could play it nicely. Haven't played a space sim since Freespace 2 now that was good, this looks better Going to be investing for the dark winter days ahead.

We sorted then out, clearly malicious damage so didn't try & claim under warranty.
-
Just an update regarding the flexing lids on these, as I suspected we have had 4 screens crack & have to be replaced.......probably the rough handling from the students but we have never had any screens go before on other brands from misuse. Plus point, keyboards seem to be quite resistant to students pulling keys off, only had one of those so far

+1 for Educare AV Liked their work, bringing them back again. -
I used to use this & it worked really well but since I upgraded my server to 2012 r2 SMB shares are borked & haven't been able to sort it out yet which is a shame, might have a go with Tonido instead.

The part I bought had some basic but useful tips when re-fitting with it (see my previous post in thread). A look at the service manual for ED A-100 helped with disassembly. -
Have a look at the Gigabyte Brix & Zotax Zbox too, lots of options there for USFF PCs

We had a similar issue with a Casio projector, this time it was the florescent lights in the classroom that stopped the remote working...lights off, all works fine!! -
